#222 The Most Naked Version of the Cabin

The way I like to do is this is creeping towards your goal. So you start somewhere and then when you hit the rock you make marks and you cut that out and then you go deeper and deeper. So now for example I just feel it's rocking here in the middle. So I have to take out more here Make some marks, cut it, put it back. and you make a few steps like that. For me that works the best. I've also got tools like... like scribing tools, there's many of them ... so this adapts a form and then you can copy that, but do to that for just such a long piece it never really worked well to me You have to make very precise marks, measure it out. I like to do it like this. And sometimes when the shape is not as jagged, it's just more like uh slightly curved imperfect wall, for example, I like to use a coin with a hole in it.

Something like... Could be a crown cork. You make a hole in it and then you follow the wall Like so. That works too. So yeah, but now I do it like this. Yeah, true.

Just the stone plinths have to be attached And then continue with the doors, did some epoxy which was a hit and miss But eventually I got it all in, so all the gaps that needed to be sealed are done, and it's nicely sanded I'm tired, it's a big week. I mean the whole roof came off r replaced some of the lintels, some old ones were reused but Yeah there's now quite a bit of stone work to be done to reach the level of the concrete beam which we're gonna pour probably next week. Some sections need to be rebuilt again And then one beam of concrete is gonna go all over the walls. Which is usually done here on these kind of stone buildings that have a mortar... like a soil mortar, clay mortar. instead of cement or lime mortar. they need to be reinforced.
