uh try to get a lot more visitors and you know I just lot more visitors and you know I just lot more visitors and you know I just kind of had this thought of like man we kind of had this thought of we're just our church right like like we're just our church right like like we're just like hospitality is a really really big like hospitality is a really really big like hospitality is a really or something like that and try to sell or something like that and try to sell something you can send them to your something you can send them to your something you can send them to your website and then they go like buy your website and then they go like buy your website and then they go like buy your thing uh right they go you know buy your thing uh right they go you know buy your thing uh right they go you know buy your your widget or like your your brand of your widget or like your your brand of your widget or like your your brand of dog food right check out and then it dog food right check out and then it dog food right check out and then it arrives in the mail well that's like arrives in the mail well that's like arrives in the mail well that's like there's nothing like that in the church there's nothing like that in the church there's nothing like that in the church world right we're not selling anything world right we're not selling anything world right we're not selling anything we're not trying to get them to buy

and so I I just kind of have that Sunday and so I I just kind of have that Sunday and so I I just kind of have that idea of like okay what if we use that idea of like okay what if we use that idea of like okay what if we use that same framework like okay but what does same framework like okay but what does same framework like okay but what does the sale look like because we're not the sale look like because we're not the sale look like because we're not trying to get them to you know buy trying to get them to you know buy trying to get them to you know buy anything anything anything um and and I was just thinking well I um and and I was just thinking well I um and and I was just thinking well I was like if if we could if we could get was like if if we could if we could get was like if if we could if we could get them to like schedule an appointment to them to like schedule an appointment to them to like schedule an appointment to visit the church uh and then that way visit the church uh and then that way visit the church uh and then that way like we knew that they were coming not like we knew that they were coming not like we knew that they were coming not only could we like reach out to them only could we like reach out to them only could we like reach out to them beforehand and like try to answer some beforehand and like try to answer some beforehand and like try to answer some of the questions that like you know keep of the questions that like you know keep of the questions that like you know keep people from wanting to come to church people from wanting to come to church people from wanting to come to church you know like it just simple stuff like you know like it just simple stuff like you know like it just simple stuff like oh man what do I wear where when I was 13 years old I've been in church almost every Sunday I've been in church almost every Sunday I've been in church almost every Sunday since right except for like a little since right except for like a little since right except for like a little rebellious period when I was 15 like rebellious period when I was 15 like rebellious period when I was 15 like every every Sunday a lot of times two or every every Sunday a lot of times two or every every Sunday a lot of times two or three services a week right so like we three services a week right so like we three services a week right so like we forget just how awkward it is for forget just how awkward it is for forget just how awkward it is for someone to come to church for the very someone to come to church for the very someone to come to church for the very first time right especially if they if first time right especially if they if first time right especially if they if they're unsaved they're unchurched they're unsaved they're unchurched they're unsaved they're unchurched they've never been to church before or they've never been to church before or they've never been to church before or maybe they were drugged to church when maybe they were drugged to church when maybe they were drugged to church when they were a kid and they haven't been they were a kid and they haven't been they were a kid and they haven't been back in 30 years and and have a negative back in 30 years and and have a negative back in 30 years and and have a negative connotation what church is so plan your connotation what church is so plan your connotation what church is so plan your visit is just a great way to kind of visit is just a great way to kind of visit is just a great way to kind of lower the barrier of entry and make it is like when we started using planar visit like when we started using planar visit like when we started using planar visit like the first month that we used it we like the first month that we used it we like the first month that we used it we ended up increasing our first time ended up increasing our first time ended up increasing our first time Visitors by 42 uh in the second month by

literally like we just saw like our visitors go like this right and the the visitors go like this right and the the visitors go like this right and the the coolest part wasn't just like visitors coolest part wasn't just like visitors coolest part wasn't just like visitors right because like everybody wants right because like everybody wants right because like everybody wants visitors but the visitors just show up visitors but the visitors just show up visitors but the visitors just show up and never come back again right of and never come back again right of and never come back again right of anybody right it doesn't help us anybody right it doesn't help us anybody right it doesn't help us right so right so right so um but what we found was that uh out of um but what we found was that uh out of um but what we found was that uh out of those eight out of ten people that came those eight out of ten people that came those eight out of ten people that came through playing your visit ended up through playing your visit ended up through playing your visit ended up joining our church within three weeks joining our church within three weeks joining our church within three weeks wow right so like so on average if wow right so like so on average if wow right so like so on average if somebody just came and visited the somebody just came and visited the somebody just came and visited the church just like a normal visitor showed church just like a normal visitor showed church just like a normal visitor showed up on Sunday right it was kind of Hit or up on Sunday right it joining the church and they're doing it in the first church and they're doing it in the first church and they're doing it in the first three weeks right so it just set up our three weeks right so it and I think it's just because from the very first time they said uh from the very first time they said uh from the very first time they said uh you know foot on campus they're making a you know foot on campus they're making a you know foot on campus they're making a connection uh with with people right connection uh with with people right connection uh with with people right like an actual personal connection like an actual personal connection like an actual personal connection not just like high-fiving the greeter as not just like high-fiving the greeter as not just like high-fiving the greeter as they come in or having a smiling person they come in or having a smiling person they come in or having a smiling person in the parking lot all those are in the parking lot all those are in the parking lot all those are important but making an actual important but making an actual important but making an actual connection is what really matters and connection is what really matters and connection is what really matters and what really helps you know with with what really helps you know with with what really helps you know with with your connection and speeding up uh uh your connection and speeding up uh uh your connection and speeding up uh uh your your assimilation uh process yeah your your assimilation uh process yeah your your assimilation uh process yeah it's like starting it earlier you like it's like starting it earlier you like it's like starting it earlier you like get to start it even before they come get to start it even before they come get to start it even before they come they're already getting a sense starting

like oh yeah he shows up knowing you like oh yeah like and then like when people are like like and then like when people are like like and then like when people are like oh hey dude you're Nathan's friend right oh hey dude you're Nathan's friend right oh hey dude you're Nathan's friend right at least gives him a little bit of an at least gives him a little bit of an at least gives him a little bit of an identity he's like oh yeah hey what's up identity he's like oh yeah hey what's up identity he's like oh yeah hey what's up I'm ammo right and then you get a chance I'm ammo right and then feels like everyone's out because it feels like everyone's out because it feels like everyone's looking at you right and they're not looking at you right and they're not looking at you right and they're not they're just but everyone's like looking they're just but everyone's like looking they're just but everyone's like looking around it feels like I'm like ah and around it feels like I'm like ah and around it feels like I'm like ah and then I sat down at the very first table then I sat down at the very first table then I sat down at the very first table right as you walk in buy myself reason another one is to help people get plugged in one is to help people get plugged in one is to help people get plugged in quicker and again going back to that quicker and again going back to that quicker and again going back to that idea of just starting the assimilation idea of just starting the assimilation idea of just starting the assimilation process even before they come on a process even before they come on a process even before they come on a Sunday uh you know where you've made Sunday uh you know where you've made Sunday uh you know where you've made that connection and that's really the that connection and that's really the that connection and that's really the glue that's going to keep them connected glue that's going to keep them connected glue that's going to keep them connected is that they know people it's no longer is that they know people it's no longer is that they know people it's no longer awkward it's no longer and and taking awkward it's no longer and and much better um and and I think they walk away with a um and and I think they walk away with a um and and I think they walk away with a better perception of the church more better perception of the want to see that more visitors but it's really about the visitors but it's really about the visitors but it's really about the lasting impact the the uh church leaders lasting impact the the uh church leaders lasting impact the the uh church leaders can have by plugging more people in to
