decision right um some crazy meetings decision right um some crazy meetings some crazy uh levels of Grace uh some uh some crazy uh levels of Grace uh some uh some crazy uh levels of Grace uh some uh uh ending relationships abruptly based uh ending relationships abruptly based uh ending relationships abruptly based on that uh uh that the outside world on that uh uh that the outside world on that uh uh that the outside world would call crazy uh but we just don't do would call crazy uh but we just don't do would call crazy uh but we just don't do that we can't we can't be there if we're that we can't we can't be there if we're that we can't we can't be there if we're going to be Jesus people we can't be in going to be Jesus people we can't be in going to be Jesus people we can't be in that we can't be in that relationship that we can't be in that relationship that we can't be in that relationship and so uh you know all those kinds of and so uh you know all those kinds of and so uh you know all those kinds of that flow out of that that uh honestly I that flow out of that that uh honestly I that flow out of that that uh honestly I mean the the uh I don't I don't know the mean the the uh I don't I don't know the mean the the uh I don't I don't know the mainstream business guy inside of me is mainstream business guy inside of me is mainstream business guy inside of me is looking at the spiritual Dave running looking at the spiritual Dave running looking at the spiritual Dave running this thing trying to be a Christian a this thing trying to be a Christian a this thing trying to be a Christian a Bible guy running the thing like he's a Bible guy running the thing like he's a Bible guy running the thing like he's a weirdo and because he was a weirdo and weirdo and because he was a weirdo and weirdo and because he was a weirdo and but it was a good weirdo but it was a good weirdo but it was a good weirdo overall so let's talk about some of overall so let's talk about some of overall so let's talk about some of those crazy meetings crazy decisions those crazy meetings crazy decisions those crazy meetings crazy decisions what what happened in those meetings what what happened in those meetings what what happened in those meetings what was so what was so what was so counterintuitive that it made business counterintuitive that it made business counterintuitive that it made business Dave look at spiritual Dave going you're Dave look at spiritual Dave going you're Dave look at spiritual Dave going you're nuts well I mean you know we we have uh nuts well I mean you know we we have uh nuts well I mean you know we we have uh extended Grace uh to team members that extended Grace uh to team members that extended Grace uh to team members that were uh in uh like for instance an were uh in uh like for instance an were uh in uh like for instance an illness situation that is uh just illness situation that is uh just illness situation that is uh just ridiculous by worldly standards I mean ridiculous by worldly standards I mean ridiculous by worldly standards I mean we've got one lady that was out uh she we've got one lady that was out uh she we've got one lady that was out uh she came to work for us she worked for us came to work for us she worked for us came to work for us she worked for us for uh 60 days uh and got a cancer for uh 60 days uh and got a cancer for uh 60 days uh and got a cancer diagnosis and she had been there two diagnosis and she had been there two diagnosis and she had been there two months um and uh it was a death sentence months um and uh it was a death sentence months um and uh it was a death sentence um and she lived a year and she was on

um and she lived a year and she was on um and she lived a year and she was on payroll for a year so basically she payroll for a year so basically she payroll for a year so basically she never contributed a thing to the never contributed a thing to the never contributed a thing to the organization economically but we're organization economically but we're organization economically but we're looking at that going this is God's looking at that going this is God's looking at that going this is God's child and she's sick and she needs the child and she's sick and she needs the child and she's sick and she needs the money and we have the money and so she money and we have the money and so she money and we have the money and so she just don't payroll and um we've done just don't payroll and um we've done just don't payroll and um we've done that type of thing multiple times and that type of thing multiple times and that type of thing multiple times and every time we're doing it we're looking every time we're doing it we're looking every time we're doing it we're looking at it going this is uh this is this is at it going this is uh this is this is at it going this is uh this is this is weird weird weird uh it's it's good and it's it's Noble uh it's it's good and it's it's Noble uh it's it's good and it's it's Noble and it you know you you're proud that and it you know you you're proud that and it you know you you're proud that you're doing something kind and you're doing something kind and you're doing something kind and compassionate uh but economically it's compassionate uh but economically it's compassionate uh but economically it's suicidal and so you know it's just but suicidal and so you know it's just but suicidal and so you know it's just but you just we have the money it's God's you just we have the money it's God's you just we have the money it's God's money so what would God do he would take money so what would God do he would take money so what would God do he would take care of that little girl so we took care care of that little girl so we took care care of that little girl so we took care of her of her of her H what when you uh look at the invest of H what when you uh look at the invest of H what when you uh look at the invest of time or money that you've made over the time or money that you've made over the time or money that you've made over the years and this could be as small as a years and this could be as small as a years and this could be as small as a book or it could be hey I drop seven book or it could be hey I drop seven book or it could be hey I drop seven figures on this but what is one of the figures on this but what is one of the figures on this but what is one of the best investments you've made over the best investments you've made over the best investments you've made over the course of your leadership could be in yourself could be leadership could be in yourself could be in the company take it wherever you in the company take it wherever you in the company take it wherever you want um I I think think there's a lot of want um I I think think there's a lot of want um I I think think there's a lot of things we could put in that category things we could put in that category things we could put in that category again I guess there's a lot of things again I guess there's a lot of things again I guess there's a lot of things that come to mind the first thing that that come to mind the first thing that that come to mind the first thing that does come to mind is books I I'm just a does come to mind is books I I'm just a does come to mind is books I I'm just a voracious reader I've my my mom taught voracious reader I've my my mom taught voracious reader I've my my mom taught me when I was a little kid that anything me when I was a little kid that anything me when I was a little kid that anything you wants in a book go find it and so um you wants in a book go find it and so um you wants in a book go find it and so um you know I wanted to learn how to be a

you know I wanted to learn how to be a you know I wanted to learn how to be a leader and so I end up reading leader and so I end up reading leader and so I end up reading everything Jim Collins has written everything Jim Collins has written everything Jim Collins has written everything uh uh you know uh everything everything uh uh you know uh everything everything uh uh you know uh everything Craig Rochelle has written everything Craig Rochelle has written everything Craig Rochelle has written everything you know Malcolm Gladwell has written you know Malcolm Gladwell has written you know Malcolm Gladwell has written everything that Henry cloud has written everything that Henry cloud has written everything that Henry cloud has written uh some of the things that John Maxwell uh some of the things that John Maxwell uh some of the things that John Maxwell has written but he's written too much to has written but he's written too much to has written but he's written too much to read all of it read all of it read all of it so but so but so but uh uh you know but I mean he's like 80 uh uh you know but I mean he's like 80 uh uh you know but I mean he's like 80 books or something I've not read all books or something I've not read all books or something I've not read all those no but but I mean the uh but you those no but but I mean the uh but you those no but but I mean the uh but you know I I get that that consumption of know I I get that that consumption of know I I get that that consumption of information uh changes you uh and it information uh changes you uh and it information uh changes you uh and it changes your heart and it teaches you changes your heart and it teaches you changes your heart and it teaches you knowledge knowledge is a good thing knowledge knowledge is a good thing knowledge knowledge is a good thing according to scripture and so I'm according to scripture and so I'm according to scripture and so I'm gathering knowledge about how to lead gathering knowledge about how to lead gathering knowledge about how to lead not just how to not just how to not just how to boss and so uh Maxwell's law of the lid boss and so uh Maxwell's law of the lid boss and so uh Maxwell's law of the lid in irrefutable laws of leadership is in irrefutable laws of leadership is in irrefutable laws of leadership is true the guy that runs the $300 million true the guy that runs the $300 million true the guy that runs the $300 million Ramsay today um uh you know the 32y old Ramsay today um uh you know the 32y old Ramsay today um uh you know the 32y old that started it 32 years ago couldn't do that started it 32 years ago couldn't do that started it 32 years ago couldn't do that he didn't have the capacity he that he didn't have the capacity he that he didn't have the capacity he didn't have the intellect he didn't have didn't have the intellect he didn't have didn't have the intellect he didn't have the strength of uh spiritual uh the strength of uh spiritual uh the strength of uh spiritual uh perseverance uh that that I do today perseverance uh that that I do today perseverance uh that that I do today that and all of that was added too by that and all of that was added too by that and all of that was added too by reading by you know going to conferences reading by you know going to conferences reading by you know going to conferences and taking notes and sitting there and taking notes and sitting there and taking notes and sitting there learning and uh you know prayer Bible learning and uh you know prayer Bible learning and uh you know prayer Bible study all those things but the personal study all those things but the personal study all those things but the personal growth is that is necessary to continue growth is that is necessary to continue growth is that is necessary to continue to grow an to grow an to grow an organization uh it can come from just

organization uh it can come from just organization uh it can come from just inexpensive things it's just a matter of inexpensive things it's just a matter of inexpensive things it's just a matter of intentionality you know getting by the intentionality you know getting by the intentionality you know getting by the law of the lid is a real challenge I'm law of the lid is a real challenge I'm law of the lid is a real challenge I'm in a process of Reinventing myself right in a process of Reinventing myself right in a process of Reinventing myself right now you know definitely not a $300 now you know definitely not a $300 now you know definitely not a $300 million company but it never stops it million company but it never stops it million company but it never stops it just like are you kidding me I thought I just like are you kidding me I thought I just like are you kidding me I thought I would have arrived by now you never would have arrived by now you never would have arrived by now you never arrive no know that what have been some arrive no know that what have been some arrive no know that what have been some of the the biggest barriers that you've of the the biggest barriers that you've of the the biggest barriers that you've found or the biggest growth found or the biggest growth found or the biggest growth opportunities in terms of Reinventing opportunities in terms of Reinventing opportunities in terms of Reinventing yourself because yeah bootstrapping yourself because yeah bootstrapping yourself because yeah bootstrapping yourself uh literally doing the seminars yourself uh literally doing the seminars yourself uh literally doing the seminars we've talked about that before in hotels we've talked about that before in hotels we've talked about that before in hotels teaching everything yourself to now teaching everything yourself to now teaching everything yourself to now running a massive organization you running a massive organization you running a massive organization you probably had to reinvent yourself 25 probably had to reinvent yourself 25 probably had to reinvent yourself 25 times so what this morning but this times so what this morning but this times so what this morning but this morning exactly Dave uh you know I think morning exactly Dave uh you know I think morning exactly Dave uh you know I think my biggest my biggest my biggest uh uh pain point in there that that uh uh uh pain point in there that that uh uh uh pain point in there that that uh has caused the growth is just um has caused the growth is just um has caused the growth is just um learning to deal with the team learning learning to deal with the team learning learning to deal with the team learning to deal with people uh on a uh W you I to deal with people uh on a uh W you I to deal with people uh on a uh W you I with more wisdom and um uh I'm such a uh with more wisdom and um uh I'm such a uh with more wisdom and um uh I'm such a uh wide openen call it like I see a wide openen call it like I see a wide openen call it like I see a passionate person always have been and passionate person always have been and passionate person always have been and um loyal but loyal to a fault and have um loyal but loyal to a fault and have um loyal but loyal to a fault and have integrity but Integrity to a fault and integrity but Integrity to a fault and integrity but Integrity to a fault and so and sometimes my loyalty to so and sometimes my loyalty to so and sometimes my loyalty to someone uh has taken me too far to the

of the first people I hired and uh so of the first people I hired and uh so that that type of thing the second thing that that type of thing the second thing that that type of thing the second thing I learned to offload uh that I didn't I learned to offload uh that I didn't I learned to offload uh that I didn't really have a choice in was just things really have a choice in was just things really have a choice in was just things I don't know how to do uh I'm I don't I don't know how to do uh I'm I don't I don't know how to do uh I'm I don't know how to uh write lines of code and I know how to uh write lines of code and I know how to uh write lines of code and I have almost 500 people on our team that have almost 500 people on our team that have almost 500 people on our team that write that are software Engineers or write that are software Engineers or write that are software Engineers or digital platform managers or whatever digital platform managers or whatever digital platform managers or whatever and I don't even know what they do and I don't even know what they do and I don't even know what they do actually not I mean I know what they do actually not I mean I know what they do actually not I mean I know what they do I have no idea how they do it and so if I have no idea how they do it and so if I have no idea how they do it and so if you needed me to write a line of code in you needed me to write a line of code in you needed me to write a line of code in this place and we write a lot of code this place and we write a lot of code this place and we write a lot of code every week um you'd be up Creek I I every week um you'd be up Creek I I every week um you'd be up Creek I I don't know how to do that and so I've don't know how to do that and so I've don't know how to do that and so I've got to delegate things I don't know how got to delegate things I don't know how got to delegate things I don't know how to do to do to do um and uh then the things I started um and uh then the things I started um and uh then the things I started offloading the third thing was uh things offloading the third thing was uh things offloading the third thing was uh things where my wife would tell me um you don't where my wife would tell me um you don't where my wife would tell me um you don't have to do that you're not have to do that you're not have to do that you're not Jesus that's his job the people if if so Jesus that's his job the people if if so Jesus that's his job the people if if so I would sit in the early days when we I would sit in the early days when we I would sit in the early days when we would finish a live event and sign books would finish a live event and sign books would finish a live event and sign books after I had spoken for 3 hours signed after I had spoken for 3 hours signed after I had spoken for 3 hours signed books for two and a half until every books for two and a half until every books for two and a half until every single person in the building that single person in the building that single person in the building that wanted a book signed because I wasn't wanted a book signed because I wasn't wanted a book signed because I wasn't going to be that guy who was too cool or going to be that guy who was too cool or going to be that guy who was too cool or too big an ego to sign a book and I'm too big an ego to sign a book and I'm too big an ego to sign a book and I'm not too big in ego to sign a book I just not too big in ego to sign a book I just not too big in ego to sign a book I just came to realize that a signed book does came to realize that a signed book does came to realize that a signed book does not change someone's life or a 30- not change someone's life or a 30- not change someone's life or a 30- second interaction with me does not second interaction with me does not second interaction with me does not change someone's life that's not what change someone's life that's not what change someone's life that's not what they need they need the information in they need they need the information in they need they need the information in the book and they need Jesus he's the the book and they need Jesus he's the the book and they need Jesus he's the Messiah I'm not and so uh You Can Touch
