more a greater sense of belonging do you more a greater sense of belonging do you feel more beloved do you feel like feel more beloved do you feel like feel more beloved do you feel like you're better able to live out your you're better able to live out your you're better able to live out your mission in life most people would say no mission in life most people would say no mission in life most people would say no the overwhelming majority of people the overwhelming majority of people the overwhelming majority of people would say no we are not better off for would say no we are not better off for would say no we are not better off for living this way so um aside from the living this way so um aside from the living this way so um aside from the fact that the proof of concept is fact that the proof of concept is fact that the proof of concept is beginning to Now sort of show beginning to Now sort of show beginning to Now sort of show itself um I think there's also a a itself um I think there's also a a itself um I think there's also a a higher allegiance that we you know owe higher allegiance that we you know owe higher allegiance that we you know owe not just ourselves but owe uh the world not just ourselves but owe uh the world not just ourselves but owe uh the world and that higher Allegiance um has to be and that higher Allegiance um has to be and that higher Allegiance um has to be um carrying in for our neighbors right um carrying in for our neighbors right um carrying in for our neighbors right and caring for our neighbors does not and caring for our neighbors does not and caring for our neighbors does not involve um making them feel hated involve um making them feel hated involve um making them feel hated unwelcome uh prayed upon you know uh unwelcome uh prayed upon you know uh unwelcome uh prayed upon you know uh that we're victimizing them further that that we're victimizing them further that that we're victimizing them further that they have no no that they can't even they have no no that they can't even they have no no that they can't even live next door to us in peace um even if live next door to us in peace um even if live next door to us in peace um even if we set the money we set the money we set the money aside uh the business model aside we aside uh the business model aside we aside uh the business model aside we have we owe the world a higher have we owe the world a higher have we owe the world a higher allegiance of caring for our neighbors allegiance of caring for our neighbors allegiance of caring for our neighbors um and if we we want to see that change um and if we we want to see that change um and if we we want to see that change we have to make peace with this idea we have to make peace with this idea we have to make peace with this idea that it might cost me money it might that it might cost me money it might that it might cost me money it might cost me followers but I'm unwilling to cost me followers but I'm unwilling to cost me followers but I'm unwilling to be part of the be part of the be part of the problem for one more day that being part problem for one more day that being part problem for one more day that being part of what will you know ultimately prove

of of the Soviet Union um who you know of of the Soviet Union um who you know Stalin did he was actively out there Stalin did he was actively out there Stalin did he was actively out there burning down people's churches because burning down people's churches because burning down people's churches because he wanted to eradicate God from from he wanted to eradicate God from from he wanted to eradicate God from from public life like he legitimately did public life like he legitimately did public life like he legitimately did those things he did yes those things he did yes those things he did yes so this this notion that um there is so this this notion that um there is so this this notion that um there is this uh this uh this uh existential battle that uh it is in existential battle that uh it is in existential battle that uh it is in incumbent upon American North American incumbent upon American North American incumbent upon American North American Christians to fight in the political Christians to fight in the political Christians to fight in the political sphere really began to take root in the sphere really began to take root in the sphere really began to take root in the 1950s during the Cold War interesting I 1950s during the Cold War interesting I 1950s during the Cold War interesting I wouldn't have put it back that far yes wouldn't have put it back that far yes wouldn't have put it back that far yes yep um and then you know that it has yep um and then you know that it has yep um and then you know that it has just morphed of course it's morphed as just morphed of course it's morphed as just morphed of course it's morphed as politics have changed as world leaders politics have changed as world leaders politics have changed as world leaders have changed as circumstances have have changed as circumstances have have changed as circumstances have changed uh the this ideology has changed changed uh the this ideology has changed changed uh the this ideology has changed slightly um but this idea that slightly um but this idea that slightly um but this idea that um uh politics are a matter of good um uh politics are a matter of good um uh politics are a matter of good versus evil actually does go back in versus evil actually does go back in versus evil actually does go back in certain areas to the Cold War so now certain areas to the Cold War so now certain areas to the Cold War so now we're just taking this I'm in the Lord's we're just taking this I'm in the Lord's we're just taking this I'm in the Lord's army army army Viewpoint um and we have we've decided Viewpoint um and we have we've decided Viewpoint um and we have we've decided that our enemies are not you know some that our enemies are not you know some that our enemies are not you know some nuclear power on the other side of the nuclear power on the other side of the nuclear power on the other side of the world um but that they are other people world um but that they are other people world um but that they are other people on the internet the other people on the on the internet the other people on the on the internet the other people on the internet that it is incumbent upon us to internet that it is incumbent upon us to internet that it is incumbent upon us to to defeat and whether or not we are to defeat and whether or not we are to defeat and whether or not we are aware that that is the um that that's

aware that that is the um that that's aware that that is the um that that's the decision that we're making I do the decision that we're making I do the decision that we're making I do think some of the mindset goes back as think some of the mindset goes back as think some of the mindset goes back as goes back that far and then we're taught goes back that far and then we're taught goes back that far and then we're taught that mindset by our parents and that mindset by our parents and that mindset by our parents and grandparents and it's uh and again for grandparents and it's uh and again for grandparents and it's uh and again for all the other reasons we've just all the other reasons we've just all the other reasons we've just discussed it we get a reward when we do discussed it we get a reward when we do discussed it we get a reward when we do that thing when we uh act that way when that thing when we uh act that way when that thing when we uh act that way when we say those things when we insult we say those things when we insult we say those things when we insult somebody we get a we get a reward in our somebody we get a we get a reward in our somebody we get a we get a reward in our mind of you know like why we want to mind of you know like why we want to mind of you know like why we want to continue acting that way so I I think continue acting that way so I I think continue acting that way so I I think some of it has to goes back that far but some of it has to goes back that far but some of it has to goes back that far but but this idea but this idea but this idea even that in politics there is a um a even that in politics there is a um a even that in politics there is a um a side of God and a side that is not God's side of God and a side that is not God's side of God and a side that is not God's side you can see even going back to the side you can see even going back to the side you can see even going back to the Civil War um when um Abraham Lincoln was Civil War um when um Abraham Lincoln was Civil War um when um Abraham Lincoln was having a conversation with one of his uh having a conversation with one of his uh having a conversation with one of his uh advisers and his advisor advisers and his advisor advisers and his advisor said let's pray that God's on our said let's pray that God's on our said let's pray that God's on our side and um Abraham Lincoln said no side and um Abraham Lincoln said no side and um Abraham Lincoln said no let's pray that we're on God's side and this so it's a different sort side and this so it's a different sort of heart posture right that God's on my side that should not be the your side that should not be the your viewpoint God's not the idea of like viewpoint God's not the idea of like viewpoint God's not the idea of like God's on my side politically mm and I God's on my side politically mm and I God's on my side politically mm and I think we've gotten away from think we've gotten away from think we've gotten away from that when you're building your platform

that when you're building your platform that when you're building your platform which tends to be neutral politically which tends to be neutral politically which tends to be neutral politically you call out both sides when you see you call out both sides when you see you call out both sides when you see truth or lies or or I should say lies or truth or lies or or I should say lies or truth or lies or or I should say lies or misinformation misinformation misinformation Etc um I think you're right the majority Etc um I think you're right the majority Etc um I think you're right the majority of people listening to this podcast want of people listening to this podcast want of people listening to this podcast want to land in that space they're afraid to land in that space they're afraid to land in that space they're afraid they're gunshot die they've tried to they're gunshot die they've tried to they're gunshot die they've tried to make a difference they got their hands make a difference they got their hands make a difference they got their hands slapped some of them got fired some of slapped some of them got fired some of slapped some of them got fired some of them just got too many angry emails too them just got too many angry emails too them just got too many angry emails too many all cap texts and just said okay many all cap texts and just said okay many all cap texts and just said okay maybe it's just easier to do nothing maybe it's just easier to do nothing maybe it's just easier to do nothing you're not doing nothing if you give you're not doing nothing if you give you're not doing nothing if you give them a final word of them a final word of them a final word of encouragement that it's like hey if you encouragement that it's like hey if you encouragement that it's like hey if you just pay attention to this or to this just pay attention to this or to this just pay attention to this or to this this fall you're going to help some this fall you're going to help some this fall you're going to help some people any final word for them I have people any final word for them I have people any final word for them I have two things one is um the first one is two things one is um the first one is two things one is um the first one is this idea that uh we should we should this idea that uh we should we should this idea that uh we should we should focus on doing for one person what we focus on doing for one person what we focus on doing for one person what we wish we could do for everybody right if wish we could do for everybody right if wish we could do for everybody right if I can uh eliminate a hungry one hungry I can uh eliminate a hungry one hungry I can uh eliminate a hungry one hungry belly then I'm going to do that even if belly then I'm going to do that even if belly then I'm going to do that even if it means not creating systemic change on it means not creating systemic change on it means not creating systemic change on world hunger this world hunger this world hunger this afternoon um that we should not grow afternoon um that we should not grow afternoon um that we should not grow weary in doing good even if it seems weary in doing good even if it seems weary in doing good even if it seems like what difference is it making like what difference is it making like what difference is it making everybody's mad at me um that's the everybody's mad at me um that's the everybody's mad at me um that's the first thing is we can't grow weary in first thing is we can't grow weary in first thing is we can't grow weary in doing good and so we should focus as doing good and so we should focus as doing good and so we should focus as much as we're able of course to make as much as we're able of course to make as much as we're able of course to make as much change as we can but sometimes that much change as we can but sometimes that much change as we can but sometimes that means doing one thing for one person

means doing one thing for one person means doing one thing for one person buying school supplies for one kid uh buying school supplies for one kid uh buying school supplies for one kid uh instead of um you know uh letting the instead of um you know uh letting the instead of um you know uh letting the world's problems overwhelm us into world's problems overwhelm us into world's problems overwhelm us into inaction and overwhelm us into a state inaction and overwhelm us into a state inaction and overwhelm us into a state of like exhaustion and and uh feeling of like exhaustion and and uh feeling of like exhaustion and and uh feeling like nothing I do will ever be like nothing I do will ever be like nothing I do will ever be meaningful we get overwhelmed into a meaningful we get overwhelmed into a meaningful we get overwhelmed into a state of state of state of um where we just feel uh paral paralyzed um where we just feel uh paral paralyzed um where we just feel uh paral paralyzed we feel Paralyzed by the size of the we feel Paralyzed by the size of the we feel Paralyzed by the size of the world's problems uh and we so we we world's problems uh and we so we we world's problems uh and we so we we allow that paralysis to just keep us allow that paralysis to just keep us allow that paralysis to just keep us keep us inert and we don't move we don't keep us inert and we don't move we don't keep us inert and we don't move we don't do anything that we don't feel it we do anything that we don't feel it we do anything that we don't feel it we feel like it's not going to make a feel like it's not going to make a feel like it's not going to make a difference so never mind that's the difference so never mind that's the difference so never mind that's the first thing and then the other thing first thing and then the other thing first thing and then the other thing that I myself of during difficult times that I myself of during difficult times that I myself of during difficult times um and I am very well aware that this um and I am very well aware that this um and I am very well aware that this fall is going to be a difficult time for fall is going to be a difficult time for fall is going to be a difficult time for myself and also for everybody listening myself and also for everybody listening myself and also for everybody listening to this I don't think there's a single to this I don't think there's a single to this I don't think there's a single person who's going to be like it's all person who's going to be like it's all person who's going to be like it's all it's going to be all you know cotton it's going to be all you know cotton it's going to be all you know cotton candy and unicorns nobody thinks that candy and unicorns nobody thinks that candy and unicorns nobody thinks that right so the thing that I constantly right so the thing that I constantly right so the thing that I constantly remind myself and sometimes I've have remind myself and sometimes I've have remind myself and sometimes I've have gone so far as to like put it on a gone so far as to like put it on a gone so far as to like put it on a Post-It note and put it on my mirror cuz Post-It note and put it on my mirror cuz Post-It note and put it on my mirror cuz I need I need it more than ever which is I need I need it more than ever which is I need I need it more than ever which is that um if they can't keep you from that um if they can't keep you from that um if they can't keep you from doing it they will try to keep you from doing it they will try to keep you from doing it they will try to keep you from enjoying enjoying enjoying it and if you stop enjoying it you will it and if you stop enjoying it you will it and if you stop enjoying it you will want to give want to give want to give up up up wow wow

wow wow wow wow so I repeat to myself I refuse to let so I repeat to myself I refuse to let so I repeat to myself I refuse to let you steal the Joy from my important you steal the Joy from my important you steal the Joy from my important work because we all have important work work because we all have important work work because we all have important work for some of us our important work is for some of us our important work is for some of us our important work is like teaching our 2-year-old how to like teaching our 2-year-old how to like teaching our 2-year-old how to stack blocks right like that's your stack blocks right like that's your stack blocks right like that's your important work at this moment other important work at this moment other important work at this moment other people are leading mega churches other people are leading mega churches other people are leading mega churches other people are getting elected president people are getting elected president people are getting elected president some people are CEOs we all have some people are CEOs we all have some people are CEOs we all have important work and that important work important work and that important work important work and that important work will change throughout our lifetime what will change throughout our lifetime what will change throughout our lifetime what we're meant to do in that moment will'll we're meant to do in that moment will'll we're meant to do in that moment will'll change throughout our lifetimes um but change throughout our lifetimes um but change throughout our lifetimes um but nevertheless we all have important work nevertheless we all have important work nevertheless we all have important work to do both from a um professional to do both from a um professional to do both from a um professional standpoint but also from uh from other standpoint but also from uh from other standpoint but also from uh from other standpoints from a spiritual standpoint standpoints from a spiritual standpoint standpoints from a spiritual standpoint or a personal standpoint important to do or a personal standpoint important to do or a personal standpoint important to do uh and so I refuse to allow people to uh and so I refuse to allow people to uh and so I refuse to allow people to steal the Joy from my important steal the Joy from my important steal the Joy from my important work because you're not going to stop me work because you're not going to stop me work because you're not going to stop me from doing it and I'm not GNA let you from doing it and I'm not GNA let you from doing it and I'm not GNA let you just I'm not gonna let you stop me from just I'm not gonna let you stop me from just I'm not gonna let you stop me from in from feeling the joy of my important in from feeling the joy of my important in from feeling the joy of my important work well you are doing really important work well you are doing really important work well you are doing really important work and I know for myself and for work and I know for myself and for work and I know for myself and for millions of other people you become uh a millions of other people you become uh a millions of other people you become uh a bright light thank you trying to bright light thank you trying to bright light thank you trying to move in a in a way that brings Harmony move in a in a way that brings Harmony move in a in a way that brings Harmony and hope in a very divided time thank and hope in a very divided time thank and hope in a very divided time thank you so in the same way Jonathan height you so in the same way Jonathan height you so in the same way Jonathan height who you mentioned earlier I think really who you mentioned earlier I think really who you mentioned earlier I think really is reframing the debate on what we do is reframing the debate on what we do is reframing the debate on what we do about technology in the Next Generation

about technology in the Next Generation about technology in the Next Generation I think there's going to be real change I think there's going to be real change I think there's going to be real change as a result of his work I wish you all as a result of his work I wish you all as a result of his work I wish you all of that in your work and I pray for the of that in your work and I pray for the of that in your work and I pray for the day of real change maybe it's begun um day of real change maybe it's begun um day of real change maybe it's begun um you have a book coming out you want to you have a book coming out you want to you have a book coming out you want to tell us a little bit about it that's tell us a little bit about it that's tell us a little bit about it that's exciting it is I've been working on it exciting it is I've been working on it exciting it is I've been working on it for three for three for three years um that's how books go yes did not years um that's how books go yes did not years um that's how books go yes did not just type this up in my basement one just type this up in my basement one just type this up in my basement one evening um it's called the small and the evening um it's called the small and the evening um it's called the small and the mighty uh 12 unsung Americans who mighty uh 12 unsung Americans who mighty uh 12 unsung Americans who changed the course of history and to me changed the course of history and to me changed the course of history and to me it is just uh a love song to the little it is just uh a love song to the little it is just uh a love song to the little guy right that uh so often we feel small guy right that uh so often we feel small guy right that uh so often we feel small and Powerless and uh like nothing we do and Powerless and uh like nothing we do and Powerless and uh like nothing we do matters and like I don't see any change matters and like I don't see any change matters and like I don't see any change as a result of me getting up today right as a result of me getting up today right as a result of me getting up today right like what what has improved in the world like what what has improved in the world like what what has improved in the world nothing so often we allow ourselves to nothing so often we allow ourselves to nothing so often we allow ourselves to be to believe that lie that that what we be to believe that lie that that what we be to believe that lie that that what we do doesn't matter uh and these are do doesn't matter uh and these are do doesn't matter uh and these are people who demonstrate the opposite people who demonstrate the opposite people who demonstrate the opposite these are not these are not the titans these are not these are not the titans these are not these are not the titans of Industry these are not the PE the of Industry these are not the PE the of Industry these are not the PE the people with the steel mills and the people with the steel mills and the people with the steel mills and the banks uh these are the teachers and the banks uh these are the teachers and the banks uh these are the teachers and the you know the people who work at the post you know the people who work at the post you know the people who work at the post office and you but yet who did something office and you but yet who did something office and you but yet who did something incredibly consequential whether they incredibly consequential whether they incredibly consequential whether they even realized what they were doing uh at even realized what they were doing uh at even realized what they were doing uh at that moment or not so I appreciate it that moment or not so I appreciate it that moment or not so I appreciate it I'm excited for it thank you well and I'm excited for it thank you well and I'm excited for it thank you well and thank you for all that you're doing so
