facebook ads we really started to facebook ads we really started to look at the areas each week i mean we look at the areas each week i mean we look at the areas each week i mean we just did these huge just did these huge just did these huge swaps you know said one that just swaps you know said one that just swaps you know said one that just targeted targeted targeted uh europe another one that just targeted uh europe another one that just targeted uh europe another one that just targeted the east coast and just targeted the the east coast and just targeted the the east coast and just targeted the west coast and then we would start to west coast and then we would start to west coast and then we would start to kind of break it down and be like oh kind of break it down and be like oh kind of break it down and be like oh well these are hot spots these work well these are hot spots these work well these are hot spots these work really well and so start to kind of really well and so start to kind of really well and so start to kind of focus in on those focus in on those focus in on those and about that same time we started to and about that same time we started to and about that same time we started to do the same thing with our spanish do the same thing with our spanish do the same thing with our spanish services so services so services so we have a you know pretty large we have a you know pretty large we have a you know pretty large congregant members that are they're congregant members that are they're congregant members that are they're spanish speakers uh so we had a video of spanish speakers uh so we had a video of spanish speakers uh so we had a video of that service every single week so that service every single week so that service every single week so we started pushing that toward central we started pushing that toward central we started pushing that toward central america mexico america mexico america mexico and then uh areas of the united states and then uh areas of the united states and then uh areas of the united states that have a you know heavier spanish that have a you know heavier spanish that have a you know heavier spanish speakers speakers speakers and that's that one has that's taken off and that's that one has that's taken off and that's that one has that's taken off i mean i mean i mean it just had a huge reaction now some of it just had a huge reaction now some of it just had a huge reaction now some of that is our previously pastor that is our previously pastor that is our previously pastor uh was was pretty well known in that uh was was pretty well known in that uh was was pretty well known in that area area area um but uh then the guy who teaches that um but uh then the guy who teaches that um but uh then the guy who teaches that class is class is class is is not as much known but it's taken off is not as much known but it's taken off is not as much known but it's taken off really really well so matter of time for really really well so matter of time for really really well so matter of time for he be before he gets known he be before he gets known he be before he gets known yeah exactly yeah exactly yeah exactly so uh that's pretty that's really smart so uh that's pretty that's really smart so uh that's pretty that's really smart how you did that with your weekend how you did that with your weekend how you did that with your weekend services services services uh have you made any shifts to how uh have you made any shifts to how uh have you made any shifts to how you're you're you're uh doing ministry online these days you uh doing ministry online these days you uh doing ministry online these days you know instead of know instead of know instead of meeting at the church for financial meeting at the church for financial meeting at the church for financial peace university or some other type of peace university or some other type of peace university or some other type of maybe an addiction celebrate recovery maybe an addiction celebrate recovery maybe an addiction celebrate recovery kind of thing kind of thing kind of thing are you shifting now to to include are you shifting now to to include are you shifting now to to include online in that online in that online in that discussion yeah yeah so uh one of the

discussion yeah yeah so uh one of the discussion yeah yeah so uh one of the first things we did first things we did first things we did as uh so i also act i didn't mention as uh so i also act i didn't mention as uh so i also act i didn't mention this but i also act as the this but i also act as the this but i also act as the the director of it uh which is how i the director of it uh which is how i the director of it uh which is how i really started in church really started in church really started in church yeah i'll just add that in there it's yeah i'll just add that in there it's yeah i'll just add that in there it's fine um fine um fine um so uh one of the first things we looked so uh one of the first things we looked so uh one of the first things we looked at was at was at was how can we set up our small groups which how can we set up our small groups which how can we set up our small groups which is really how all of our ministries is really how all of our ministries is really how all of our ministries operate operate operate right so if it's not a main service it right so if it's not a main service it right so if it's not a main service it is a small group is a small group is a small group um so then how do we tool them up for um so then how do we tool them up for um so then how do we tool them up for this so this so this so um one of the first things we did is um one of the first things we did is um one of the first things we did is because we're we because we're we because we're we we use uh uh google's email system so i we use uh uh google's email system so i we use uh uh google's email system so i the name would just escape me but uh we the name would just escape me but uh we the name would just escape me but uh we had the ability to had the ability to had the ability to integrate meat into that so we set up integrate meat into that so we set up integrate meat into that so we set up accounts for all of our small group accounts for all of our small group accounts for all of our small group leaders leaders leaders so then they could instantly do that we so then they could instantly do that we so then they could instantly do that we do use a little bit of zoom for some of do use a little bit of zoom for some of do use a little bit of zoom for some of the other the other the other other groups young adults that kind of other groups young adults that kind of other groups young adults that kind of thing high school um and kind of tooled thing high school um and kind of tooled thing high school um and kind of tooled them all up to be able to do that them all up to be able to do that them all up to be able to do that uh and that's that's gone really well i uh and that's that's gone really well i uh and that's that's gone really well i actually have a small group of just actually have a small group of just actually have a small group of just dads uh in our area and you know we get dads uh in our area and you know we get dads uh in our area and you know we get together every monday night and just together every monday night and just together every monday night and just just hang out for a while and it's it's just hang out for a while and it's it's just hang out for a while and it's it's it's proven to be this spot where you it's proven to be this spot where you it's proven to be this spot where you can kind of can kind of can kind of a lot of us are isolated right so i work a lot of us are isolated right so i work a lot of us are isolated right so i work from home i'm here with my wife and kids from home i'm here with my wife and kids from home i'm here with my wife and kids all day and just to get that all day and just to get that all day and just to get that hour hour and a half of time has been hour hour and a half of time has been hour hour and a half of time has been hugely beneficial so hugely beneficial so hugely beneficial so that's one of the first things we did we that's one of the first things we did we that's one of the first things we did we we then looked at social media and we then looked at social media and we then looked at social media and started asking all of our pastors started asking all of our pastors started asking all of our pastors uh to send us daily devotionals or you uh to send us daily devotionals or you uh to send us daily devotionals or you know know know weekly things so we could kind of start weekly things so we could kind of start weekly things so we could kind of start to punch those out to punch those out to punch those out uh just to keep that connection going uh just to keep that connection going uh just to keep that connection going and that interaction and that interaction and that interaction um and about that's probably the

um and about that's probably the um and about that's probably the beginning of april beginning of april beginning of april we uh about two times a year we'll do a we uh about two times a year we'll do a we uh about two times a year we'll do a 21 days of prayer 21 days of prayer 21 days of prayer we decided to do one early in april we decided to do one early in april we decided to do one early in april because we needed it um so it's a good because we needed it um so it's a good because we needed it um so it's a good time to do that so we kind of set some time to do that so we kind of set some time to do that so we kind of set some daily devotionals to go out and gave daily devotionals to go out and gave daily devotionals to go out and gave people an opportunity to pray and people an opportunity to pray and people an opportunity to pray and uh so it's just kind of tooling up all uh so it's just kind of tooling up all uh so it's just kind of tooling up all that stuff i still think if i'm honest i that stuff i still think if i'm honest i that stuff i still think if i'm honest i still think we have a long way to go still think we have a long way to go still think we have a long way to go with that i don't think we've with that i don't think we've with that i don't think we've figured it all out by any means but figured it all out by any means but figured it all out by any means but you know it's this is it's such a it's you know it's this is it's such a it's you know it's this is it's such a it's such a cultural shift such a cultural shift such a cultural shift uh that it there's a lot of opportunity uh that it there's a lot of opportunity uh that it there's a lot of opportunity here here here you're right yeah i mean it not only is you're right yeah i mean it not only is you're right yeah i mean it not only is it a cultural shift it a cultural shift it a cultural shift just for the church to figure out how to just for the church to figure out how to just for the church to figure out how to do this but for people to respond do this but for people to respond do this but for people to respond absolutely really create two-way absolutely really create two-way absolutely really create two-way communication instead of just communication instead of just communication instead of just pushing pushing pushing so yeah so when pushing pushing pushing so yeah so when pushing pushing pushing so yeah so when you you you so do you guys have plans here we are so do you guys have plans here we are so do you guys have plans here we are we're like mid-august do you have plans we're like mid-august do you have plans we're like mid-august do you have plans to get back to get back to get back in person we uh we have just set up in person we uh we have just set up in person we uh we have just set up three dates that we're gonna do an three dates that we're gonna do an three dates that we're gonna do an outdoor service uh so september 13th outdoor service uh so september 13th outdoor service uh so september 13th will be our first one then we'll do will be our first one then we'll do will be our first one then we'll do another one another one another one you know pretty much every month um but you know pretty much every month um but you know pretty much every month um but as far as as far as as far as regular sunday services nothing planned regular sunday services nothing planned regular sunday services nothing planned at this time oh okay at this time oh okay at this time oh okay okay yeah so so has your leadership okay yeah so so has your leadership okay yeah so so has your leadership really talked about really talked about really talked about you know when you do get back in person you know when you do get back in person you know when you do get back in person and who knows again who knows when and who knows again who knows when and who knows again who knows when that's going to be yeah that's going to be yeah that's going to be yeah yeah what uh what will happen with your yeah what uh what will happen with your yeah what uh what will happen with your what what you've created with this what what you've created with this what what you've created with this online yeah what's going to happen online yeah what's going to happen online yeah what's going to happen we we started day one uh every time we we we started day one uh every time we we we started day one uh every time we we talked about bringing something on is we talked about bringing something on is we talked about bringing something on is is is is can you continue to do this when we

to outreaching you know to get people to watch right now kind of on demand watch right now kind of on demand watch right now kind of on demand but have you seen any kind of fatigue but have you seen any kind of fatigue but have you seen any kind of fatigue with your congregation because you with your congregation because you with your congregation because you haven't been able haven't been able haven't been able to be in person yeah definitely and you to be in person yeah definitely and you to be in person yeah definitely and you know know know and i think we we've made the conscious and i think we we've made the conscious and i think we we've made the conscious decision that it's it's just not the decision that it's it's just not the decision that it's it's just not the right time and it's right time and it's right time and it's it's it's not safe yet for our it's it's not safe yet for our it's it's not safe yet for our congregation you know we're a congregation you know we're a congregation you know we're a multicultural multi-generational church multicultural multi-generational church multicultural multi-generational church uh that uh it just isn't gonna go well uh that uh it just isn't gonna go well uh that uh it just isn't gonna go well and our building was never set up for and our building was never set up for and our building was never set up for social distancing right social distancing right social distancing right as most aren't um so to try to navigate as most aren't um so to try to navigate as most aren't um so to try to navigate that that that seemed like we had to make a decision on seemed like we had to make a decision on seemed like we had to make a decision on well well well i'm sorry if you have kids you can't i'm sorry if you have kids you can't i'm sorry if you have kids you can't come or i'm sorry if you're you know come or i'm sorry if you're you know come or i'm sorry if you're you know if you're elderly you can't come and if you're elderly you can't come and if you're elderly you can't come and that's just not who we want to be that's just not who we want to be that's just not who we want to be and uh so you know as we've stuck with and uh so you know as we've stuck with and uh so you know as we've stuck with that decision a lot of churches in our that decision a lot of churches in our that decision a lot of churches in our area have reopened area have reopened area have reopened uh so there's there's that tension there uh so there's there's that tension there uh so there's there's that tension there and and you know i can't make it to a and and you know i can't make it to a and and you know i can't make it to a a pool party and not be asked about 50 a pool party and not be asked about 50 a pool party and not be i get it but uh yeah it's it's definitely there and i yeah it's it's definitely there and i yeah it's it's definitely there and i think some of you know these out think some of you know these out
