you take a minute just update to our our you take a minute just update to our our our audience about like a little bit of our audience about like a little bit of our audience about like a little bit of who you are your background and what you who you are your background and what you who you are your background and what you found yourself doing these days yes so found yourself doing these days yes so found yourself doing these days yes so uh really neat I don't know if you uh really neat I don't know if you uh really neat I don't know if you expected this but I had a career in expected this but I had a career in expected this but I had a career in banking I was actually a commercial loan banking I was actually a commercial loan banking I was actually a commercial loan officer um I was in banking for 14 years officer um I was in banking for 14 years officer um I was in banking for 14 years I know I look super young I obviously I know I look super young I obviously I know I look super young I obviously started in banking when I was very young started in banking when I was very young started in banking when I was very young um but I have been on staff at Bethlehem um but I have been on staff at Bethlehem um but I have been on staff at Bethlehem for seven years now um and it was kind for seven years now um and it was kind for seven years now um and it was kind of a funny conversation my husband and I of a funny conversation my husband and I of a funny conversation my husband and I were very involved at the church and I were very involved at the church and I were very involved at the church and I had the opportunity to be very involved had the opportunity to be very involved had the opportunity to be very involved in the local community through my role in the local community through my role in the local community through my role at the bank and so um I was talking with at the bank and so um I was talking with at the bank and so um I was talking with Bethlehem and volunteer role helping Bethlehem and volunteer role helping Bethlehem and volunteer role helping expand some Community initiatives and expand some Community initiatives and expand some Community initiatives and Pastor Jason and another staff member Pastor Jason and another staff member Pastor Jason and another staff member had a meeting with me and he said hey had a meeting with me and he said hey had a meeting with me and he said hey you're called to be here like we want you're called to be here like we want you're called to be here like we want you to join our team and come on staff you to join our team and come on staff you to join our team and come on staff and he goes I will pay you half as much and he goes I will pay you half as much and he goes I will pay you half as much and work you twice as hard and it's and work you twice as hard and it's and work you twice as hard and it's gonna be great where do I sign up yes gonna be great where do I sign up yes gonna be great where do I sign up yes and I literally I just said where do I and I literally I just said where do I and I literally I just said where do I sign up like when do you want me to sign up like when do you want me to sign up like when do you want me to start everything will fall into place um start everything will fall into place um start everything will fall into place um my heart was certainly here never my heart was certainly here never my heart was certainly here never thought an opportunity uh would happen thought an opportunity uh would happen thought an opportunity uh would happen for me to join the team here so that was for me to join the team here so that was for me to join the team here so that was seven years ago um and as ID mentioned seven years ago um and as ID mentioned seven years ago um and as ID mentioned being super engaged in the community I

being super engaged in the community I being super engaged in the community I was uh brought in to help expand our was uh brought in to help expand our was uh brought in to help expand our community initiatives Bethlehem already community initiatives Bethlehem already community initiatives Bethlehem already had um great involvement in supporting had um great involvement in supporting had um great involvement in supporting the community no strings attached being the community no strings attached being the community no strings attached being super engaged there was already a path super engaged there was already a path super engaged there was already a path that had been paved so well um and I that had been paved so well um and I that had been paved so well um and I just came in to kind of expand that um just came in to kind of expand that um just came in to kind of expand that um but but it was going to be a transition but but it was going to be a transition but but it was going to be a transition so I actually came in as guest services so I actually came in as guest services so I actually came in as guest services director my very first role um that that director my very first role um that that director my very first role um that that was about a 10mon window and Community was about a 10mon window and Community was about a 10mon window and Community was quickly taken off and I needed to was quickly taken off and I needed to was quickly taken off and I needed to focus my attention there so somebody focus my attention there so somebody focus my attention there so somebody else came in to continue the torch of else came in to continue the torch of else came in to continue the torch of guest services so I found myself as guest services so I found myself as guest services so I found myself as Community director up until um two years Community director up until um two years Community director up until um two years ago when I moved over into ago when I moved over into ago when I moved over into Communications and it was really Communications and it was really Communications and it was really a dream job for me what I'm doing now a dream job for me what I'm doing now a dream job for me what I'm doing now and something that in my own natural and something that in my own natural and something that in my own natural abilities I didn't think I was equipped abilities I didn't think I was equipped abilities I didn't think I was equipped to do it was always kind of those really to do it was always kind of those really to do it was always kind of those really cool um other members other team members cool um other members other team members cool um other members other team members that held the role and it was just like that held the role and it was just like that held the role and it was just like really neat what they get to do but you really neat what they get to do but you really neat what they get to do but you know I'm not really called to do that so know I'm not really called to do that so know I'm not really called to do that so I was ecstatic when that door opened and I was ecstatic when that door opened and I was ecstatic when that door opened and I transitioned over two years ago okay I transitioned over two years ago okay I transitioned over two years ago okay so I got like a billion questions about so I got like a billion questions about so I got like a billion questions about that but I I I think it's a huge that but I I I think it's a huge that but I I I think it's a huge Advantage for you that you served in Advantage for you that you served in Advantage for you that you served in guest guest guest services because you got to understand services because you got to understand services because you got to understand how that world Works a little bit and

how that world Works a little bit and how that world Works a little bit and how we're how we're helping our guests how we're how we're helping our guests how we're how we're helping our guests you know yes assimilate and move in but you know yes assimilate and move in but you know yes assimilate and move in but as a com director You Know Your Role is as a com director You Know Your Role is as a com director You Know Your Role is kind of like internal and external so kind of like internal and external so kind of like internal and external so people come in but now you get to people come in but now you get to people come in but now you get to understand how they do get assimilated understand how they do get assimilated understand how they do get assimilated because of that guest experience work because of that guest experience work because of that guest experience work that you got to do that's got to be that you got to do that's got to be that you got to do that's got to be really for you as you're kind of doing really for you as you're kind of doing really for you as you're kind of doing your job as a com director it is it is your job as a com director it is it is your job as a com director it is it is and I think one of the uh the biggest and I think one of the uh the biggest and I think one of the uh the biggest advantages was just already knowing our advantages was just already knowing our advantages was just already knowing our culture so that uh having spent of uh culture so that uh having spent of uh culture so that uh having spent of uh being church member for a long time and being church member for a long time and being church member for a long time and then um coming in on staff for five then um coming in on staff for five then um coming in on staff for five years before I moved over like that was years before I moved over like that was years before I moved over like that was literally I feel like about half the job literally I feel like about half the job literally I feel like about half the job just knowing the culture and making sure just knowing the culture and making sure just knowing the culture and making sure everything we do you know is through everything we do you know is through everything we do you know is through that filter so that that was a huge that filter so that that was a huge that filter so that that was a huge advantage and then like you said just advantage and then like you said just advantage and then like you said just the knowledge of what the teams are the knowledge of what the teams are the knowledge of what the teams are doing and what their goals are and um doing and what their goals are and um doing and what their goals are and um having worked firsthand with volunteers having worked firsthand with volunteers having worked firsthand with volunteers and being able to Think Through and being able to Think Through and being able to Think Through sometimes what serves them best as they sometimes what serves them best as they sometimes what serves them best as they serve others has definitely definitely serve others has definitely definitely serve others has definitely definitely been rewarding and helpful yeah oh it's been rewarding and helpful yeah oh it's been rewarding and helpful yeah oh it's so cool so tell us just a little bit so cool so tell us just a little bit so cool so tell us just a little bit about about Bethlehem the church and about about Bethlehem the church and about about Bethlehem the church and then about your your team yes so then about your your team yes so then about your your team yes so Bethlehem we are here located in Georgia Bethlehem we are here located in Georgia Bethlehem we are here located in Georgia bethle Georgia um our lead Pastor is bethle Georgia um our lead Pastor is bethle Georgia um our lead Pastor is Jason Britt and he came on staff Jason Britt and he came on staff Jason Britt and he came on staff probably pushing maybe 13 years ago now probably pushing maybe 13 years ago now probably pushing maybe 13 years ago now and I um have been a member of Bethlehem

and I um have been a member of Bethlehem and I um have been a member of Bethlehem since since since 2002 so I was here um as an attendan 2002 so I was here um as an attendan 2002 so I was here um as an attendan member pre Jason Brit um and the church member pre Jason Brit um and the church member pre Jason Brit um and the church has always always had a lot of great has always always had a lot of great has always always had a lot of great history um but Jason um his leadership history um but Jason um his leadership history um but Jason um his leadership and just the things the Lord put into and just the things the Lord put into and just the things the Lord put into him just really kind of uh changed our him just really kind of uh changed our him just really kind of uh changed our course and and catapulted Jason always course and and catapulted Jason always course and and catapulted Jason always says that our best days are ahead not says that our best days are ahead not says that our best days are ahead not behind us and so like that's truly how behind us and so like that's truly how behind us and so like that's truly how we operate so it's been really neat we operate so it's been really neat we operate so it's been really neat seeing all the growth um when he came we seeing all the growth um when he came we seeing all the growth um when he came we were maybe about were maybe about were maybe about 350 adult attendees on a Sunday um and 350 adult attendees on a Sunday um and 350 adult attendees on a Sunday um and now with kids we are running uh three now with kids we are running uh three now with kids we are running uh three campuses and over 5,000 people a weekend campuses and over 5,000 people a weekend campuses and over 5,000 people a weekend so a lot of growth and um of course it's so a lot of growth and um of course it's so a lot of growth and um of course it's not just about the numbers the uh the not just about the numbers the uh the not just about the numbers the uh the baptisms the life change the groups baptisms the life change the groups baptisms the life change the groups involvement um has been really really involvement um has been really really involvement um has been really really cool to not only be on the sidelines but cool to not only be on the sidelines but cool to not only be on the sidelines but have a front row seat to see that happen have a front row seat to see that happen have a front row seat to see that happen um has been neat for me and it's really um has been neat for me and it's really um has been neat for me and it's really been a unique and super exciting time to been a unique and super exciting time to been a unique and super exciting time to be a part of Bethlehem in any capacity be a part of Bethlehem in any capacity be a part of Bethlehem in any capacity because we are in the midst of an because we are in the midst of an because we are in the midst of an initiative we have a main 900 seat initiative we have a main 900 seat initiative we have a main 900 seat worship Auditorium here at our primary worship Auditorium here at our primary worship Auditorium here at our primary campus and we will be relocating by the

campus and we will be relocating by the campus and we will be relocating by the end of the year to an 1800 seat end of the year to an 1800 seat end of the year to an 1800 seat Auditorium um and then as soon as we uh Auditorium um and then as soon as we uh Auditorium um and then as soon as we uh land that plane our both of our campuses land that plane our both of our campuses land that plane our both of our campuses will start expansion because they are will start expansion because they are will start expansion because they are out of space as well uh primarily the out of space as well uh primarily the out of space as well uh primarily the nextg spaces um so that's what's another nextg spaces um so that's what's another nextg spaces um so that's what's another piece that's really neat about my story piece that's really neat about my story piece that's really neat about my story it was actually August of 2021 our it was actually August of 2021 our it was actually August of 2021 our leadership asked me to um continue my leadership asked me to um continue my leadership asked me to um continue my community director role but step in as community director role but step in as community director role but step in as project manager for what became known as project manager for what became known as project manager for what became known as our because our because our because initiative um and so this is the initiative um and so this is the initiative um and so this is the engagement aspect of it not construction engagement aspect of it not construction engagement aspect of it not construction so overseeing the print pieces putting so overseeing the print pieces putting so overseeing the print pieces putting together getting the content um just all together getting the content um just all together getting the content um just all of those things the experience for the of those things the experience for the of those things the experience for the events associated with it and so um events associated with it and so um events associated with it and so um right after they asked me to do that uh right after they asked me to do that uh right after they asked me to do that uh simultaneously we were looking for a new simultaneously we were looking for a new simultaneously we were looking for a new comms director and there was just a comms director and there was just a comms director and there was just a passing conversation that um wow man you passing conversation that um wow man you passing conversation that um wow man you should you should be comm's director but should you should be comm's director but should you should be comm's director but we already asked you to do this role and we already asked you to do this role and we already asked you to do this role and this is super important very important this is super important very important this is super important very important season um for us and then as we went season um for us and then as we went season um for us and then as we went about the next few months the end of the about the next few months the end of the about the next few months the end of the year it made a lot of sense those uh year it made a lot of sense those uh year it made a lot of sense those uh roles were married together in a lot of

roles were married together in a lot of roles were married together in a lot of ways because you've got to have your ways because you've got to have your ways because you've got to have your pulse on everything going on and you pulse on everything going on and you pulse on everything going on and you have to be careful that you're not uh have to be careful that you're not uh have to be careful that you're not uh burdening the the congregation so we burdening the the congregation so we burdening the the congregation so we can't be having all these kind of can't be having all these kind of can't be having all these kind of one-off events happening like no KN one one-off events happening like no KN one one-off events happening like no KN one of the more important things for them to of the more important things for them to of the more important things for them to be a part of is you know something be a part of is you know something be a part of is you know something happening with the initiative advaned happening with the initiative advaned happening with the initiative advaned commitment night or you know whatever it commitment night or you know whatever it commitment night or you know whatever it may be so it was super cool that I uh may be so it was super cool that I uh may be so it was super cool that I uh got to be in both roles and currently got to be in both roles and currently got to be in both roles and currently still am in both roles because it's a still am in both roles because it's a still am in both roles because it's a two-year initiative and when we hit this two-year initiative and when we hit this two-year initiative and when we hit this past December it started year two so we past December it started year two so we past December it started year two so we are um we are in our second year of that are um we are in our second year of that are um we are in our second year of that so lot of moving part s have been taking so lot of moving part s have been taking so lot of moving part s have been taking place for the last year and a half oh place for the last year and a half oh place for the last year and a half oh wow okay so you've learned a t you wow okay so you've learned a t you wow okay so you've learned a t you learned a ton and you learned it on the learned a ton and you learned it on the learned a ton and you learned it on the go tell me a couple things I mean what go tell me a couple things I mean what go tell me a couple things I mean what uh what how have you really built your uh what how have you really built your uh what how have you really built your department I know you probably you department I know you probably you department I know you probably you stepped into an existing Communications stepped into an existing Communications stepped into an existing Communications Department but from your experience in Department but from your experience in Department but from your experience in the banking days which is you know the banking days which is you know the banking days which is you know you're still doing business how have you you're still doing business how have you you're still doing business how have you brought some of those things that you brought some of those things that you brought some of those things that you learned over to your role today yeah um learned over to your role today yeah um learned over to your role today yeah um um man just heavy attention to detail is um man just heavy attention to detail is um man just heavy attention to detail is a big thing and you did I'm sorry you a big thing and you did I'm sorry you a big thing and you did I'm sorry you asked me earlier about the team so our asked me earlier about the team so our asked me earlier about the team so our Communications team um is made up of Communications team um is made up of Communications team um is made up of course of me and then I have a creative course of me and then I have a creative course of me and then I have a creative content director um Nicole on the team

content director um Nicole on the team content director um Nicole on the team who does the majority of our Graphics who does the majority of our Graphics who does the majority of our Graphics super important and then I have Casey super important and then I have Casey super important and then I have Casey who is our social media specialist um who is our social media specialist um who is our social media specialist um and then so that's direct staff and then and then so that's direct staff and then and then so that's direct staff and then I have a min partner called clever um I I have a min partner called clever um I I have a min partner called clever um I don't know if you're familiar with don't know if you're familiar with don't know if you're familiar with clever but um we just have a a lot for a clever but um we just have a a lot for a clever but um we just have a a lot for a single person or a couple of people to single person or a couple of people to single person or a couple of people to be able to uh maintain so clever has be able to uh maintain so clever has be able to uh maintain so clever has been a great partner um helping with been a great partner um helping with been a great partner um helping with some of the graphic creation I depend on some of the graphic creation I depend on some of the graphic creation I depend on them a lot for website updates and stuff them a lot for website updates and stuff them a lot for website updates and stuff that I need done and that's been that I need done and that's been that I need done and that's been something I have brought to our something I have brought to our something I have brought to our Communications team is the organizing Communications team is the organizing Communications team is the organizing and uh when Ministries submit requests I and uh when Ministries submit requests I and uh when Ministries submit requests I kind of streamlined that process there kind of streamlined that process there kind of streamlined that process there were form for this and a form for this were form for this and a form for this were form for this and a form for this and um I merged all that in together to and um I merged all that in together to and um I merged all that in together to one form and you've got drop- down boxes one form and you've got drop- down boxes one form and you've got drop- down boxes so if you don't mark this one you're not so if you don't mark this one you're not so if you don't mark this one you're not going to be bothered with all the things going to be bothered with all the things going to be bothered with all the things that go with it and then they filter that go with it and then they filter that go with it and then they filter through me and I decide I know what's on through me and I decide I know what's on through me and I decide I know what's on Nicole's plate I know what's on clever's Nicole's plate I know what's on clever's Nicole's plate I know what's on clever's plate and then I can decide the best plate and then I can decide the best plate and then I can decide the best Avenue to send that through and then Avenue to send that through and then Avenue to send that through and then also um you know it's always easier when also um you know it's always easier when also um you know it's always easier when you have somebody sitting at a desk you you have somebody sitting at a desk you you have somebody sitting at a desk you could go walk up to so that comes into could go walk up to so that comes into could go walk up to so that comes into play uh with working on things and then play uh with working on things and then play uh with working on things and then obviously Nicole's going to know our obviously Nicole's going to know our obviously Nicole's going to know our culture best so sometimes there might be culture best so sometimes there might be culture best so sometimes there might be a piece that really really really needs

a piece that really really really needs a piece that really really really needs to just bleed culture and that's to just bleed culture and that's to just bleed culture and that's something clever does a great job though something clever does a great job though something clever does a great job though but um just prioritizing task and but um just prioritizing task and but um just prioritizing task and deciding what the best Avenue is for deciding what the best Avenue is for deciding what the best Avenue is for something to be worked on has been super something to be worked on has been super something to be worked on has been super super helpful for us as a whole the last super helpful for us as a whole the last super helpful for us as a whole the last two years yeah I mean you know that is two years yeah I mean you know that is two years yeah I mean you know that is such a key thing is is understanding such a key thing is is understanding such a key thing is is understanding that there's a lot of moving Parts a lot that there's a lot of moving Parts a lot that there's a lot of moving Parts a lot like you I mean just with the campaign like you I mean just with the campaign like you I mean just with the campaign itself there's a ton to do there but now itself there's a ton to do there but now itself there's a ton to do there but now you've got all the Ministries you're you've got all the Ministries you're you've got all the Ministries you're serving plus you know the weekend and serving plus you know the weekend and serving plus you know the weekend and all that stuff is you've got to have a all that stuff is you've got to have a all that stuff is you've got to have a really great project management system really great project management system really great project management system um in place otherwise things get kind of um in place otherwise things get kind of um in place otherwise things get kind of out of hand so that's right yeah yeah out of hand so that's right yeah yeah out of hand so that's right yeah yeah that's right year one I felt like I was that's right year one I felt like I was that's right year one I felt like I was just shoveling buckets of water out of just shoveling buckets of water out of just shoveling buckets of water out of the boat just trying to to not let the boat just trying to to not let the boat just trying to to not let anything fall make sure the Ministries anything fall make sure the Ministries anything fall make sure the Ministries are served um make sure the initiative are served um make sure the initiative are served um make sure the initiative is prioritized and we're doing all the is prioritized and we're doing all the is prioritized and we're doing all the things we need to do there to keep it in things we need to do there to keep it in things we need to do there to keep it in front of people and um telling stories front of people and um telling stories front of people and um telling stories you know is so important a big piece of you know is so important a big piece of you know is so important a big piece of that and so um and year one uh honestly that and so um and year one uh honestly that and so um and year one uh honestly was a good dose of humility for me was a good dose of humility for me was a good dose of humility for me because um I was used to being the because um I was used to being the because um I was used to being the expert in what I was doing um born and expert in what I was doing um born and expert in what I was doing um born and raised in my community and uh had a ton raised in my community and uh had a ton raised in my community and uh had a ton of community involvement and I come over of community involvement and I come over of community involvement and I come over here and I lead our community Ministry here and I lead our community Ministry here and I lead our community Ministry and so I could be in any conversation

and so I could be in any conversation and so I could be in any conversation and whatever you're looking for hey and whatever you're looking for hey and whatever you're looking for hey let's do something to support single let's do something to support single let's do something to support single moms for Mother's Day well I could just moms for Mother's Day well I could just moms for Mother's Day well I could just name you okay well here's all the name you okay well here's all the name you okay well here's all the organizations doing a great work in our organizations doing a great work in our organizations doing a great work in our community you know who do you want me to community you know who do you want me to community you know who do you want me to reach out to to oh my goodness like okay reach out to to oh my goodness like okay reach out to to oh my goodness like okay church is gonna be iced out this weekend church is gonna be iced out this weekend church is gonna be iced out this weekend like three weeks into my new position like three weeks into my new position like three weeks into my new position like what does it look like to like what does it look like to like what does it look like to communicate that um so that was a good communicate that um so that was a good communicate that um so that was a good dose of humility and I learned to be dose of humility and I learned to be dose of humility and I learned to be comfortable with asking questions um comfortable with asking questions um comfortable with asking questions um which is super super important and then which is super super important and then which is super super important and then year two year two year two um this may be more than you're looking um this may be more than you're looking um this may be more than you're looking for but you know last year year too the for but you know last year year too the for but you know last year year too the enemy kind of tried to work that into enemy kind of tried to work that into enemy kind of tried to work that into some spiritual warfare about whether you some spiritual warfare about whether you some spiritual warfare about whether you know really qualified to be doing what know really qualified to be doing what know really qualified to be doing what I'm doing um type thing but that was I'm doing um type thing but that was I'm doing um type thing but that was healthy to work through that and battle healthy to work through that and battle healthy to work through that and battle through that to um shift me to my focus through that to um shift me to my focus through that to um shift me to my focus this year is really a huge learner this year is really a huge learner this year is really a huge learner posture like it's like okay I'm going to posture like it's like okay I'm going to posture like it's like okay I'm going to take I know I don't know everything and take I know I don't know everything and take I know I don't know everything and um I'm wanting to learn but I'm so busy um I'm wanting to learn but I'm so busy um I'm wanting to learn but I'm so busy so much going on I've just got to know so much going on I've just got to know so much going on I've just got to know enough to get by and then year two lot enough to get by and then year two lot enough to get by and then year two lot of pieces with the initiative um and of pieces with the initiative um and of pieces with the initiative um and this role still and so now not that this role still and so now not that this role still and so now not that things ever slow down or get easier but things ever slow down or get easier but things ever slow down or get easier but it's just okay now I'm learning I do it's just okay now I'm learning I do it's just okay now I'm learning I do have to figure out some new rhythms and

have to figure out some new rhythms and have to figure out some new rhythms and find some margin to think more about the find some margin to think more about the find some margin to think more about the next and to learn and uh just find next and to learn and uh just find next and to learn and uh just find things I can grab a hold of to be the things I can grab a hold of to be the things I can grab a hold of to be the expert for my church in this role so I'm expert for my church in this role so I'm expert for my church in this role so I'm really excited to see what all is going really excited to see what all is going really excited to see what all is going to come about in 2024 and how I can to come about in 2024 and how I can to come about in 2024 and how I can serve Bethlehem as a whole better oh serve Bethlehem as a whole better oh serve Bethlehem as a whole better oh what you said there though that is so what you said there though that is so what you said there though that is so true because I think uh as people start true because I think uh as people start true because I think uh as people start off into this role there is you know off into this role there is you know off into this role there is you know there's that season where you're you're there's that season where you're you're there's that season where you're you're kind of on a honeymoon you're sort of kind of on a honeymoon you're sort of kind of on a honeymoon you're sort of learning about the culture especially if learning about the culture especially if learning about the culture especially if you're brand new to the church and and you're brand new to the church and and you're brand new to the church and and you're trying to figure some things a you're trying to figure some things a you're trying to figure some things a lot of Grace and you just kind of have lot of Grace and you just kind of have lot of Grace and you just kind of have to be really humble to understand I to be really humble to understand I to be really humble to understand I don't know everything uh and that's okay don't know everything uh and that's okay don't know everything uh and that's okay but by the time you kind of Round the but by the time you kind of Round the but by the time you kind of Round the Corner to year two you're going okay I Corner to year two you're going okay I Corner to year two you're going okay I should know some stuff why am I not should know some stuff why am I not should know some stuff why am I not getting better and that's what gets in getting better and that's what gets in getting better and that's what gets in your head yes and that's exactly that's your head yes and that's exactly that's your head yes and that's exactly that's natural but you like you said you keep natural but you like you said you keep natural but you like you said you keep your eyes focused on on him and you your eyes focused on on him and you your eyes focused on on him and you focus on where you're headed and you focus on where you're headed and you focus on where you're headed and you just work right through there and it's just work right through there and it's just work right through there and it's always better than it always better than it always better than it seems yes exactly right that's exactly seems yes exactly right that's exactly seems yes exactly right that's exactly right yeah and now and now your posture right yeah and now and now your posture right yeah and now and now your posture is back to that humbleness of going I is back to that humbleness of going I is back to that humbleness of going I just want to learn I want to get better just want to learn I want to get better just want to learn I want to get better I wanna what can I do to improve now I wanna what can I do to improve now I wanna what can I do to improve now that you gota kind of handling that you gota kind of handling that you gota kind of handling everything and going okay want to keep everything and going okay want to keep everything and going okay want to keep learning and uh that I still do that to learning and uh that I still do that to learning and uh that I still do that to this day because I've been in this thing this day because I've been in this thing this day because I've been in this thing for long long time I was 11 years as a for long long time I was 11 years as a for long long time I was 11 years as a com director and I've been working with

com director and I've been working with com director and I've been working with churches for a couple D decades and I churches for a couple D decades and I churches for a couple D decades and I still have this I have to learn I have still have this I have to learn I have still have this I have to learn I have to absorb because there's always to absorb because there's always to absorb because there's always something new God's always something something new God's always something something new God's always something different and new and if I have this different and new and if I have this different and new and if I have this position of well I know everything I position of well I know everything I position of well I know everything I don't really need to tune into that then don't really need to tune into that then don't really need to tune into that then your days are numbered that's right your days are numbered that's right your days are numbered that's right that's right you're like recognizing that's right you're like recognizing that's right you're like recognizing you'll never arrive and I think that's a you'll never arrive and I think that's a you'll never arrive and I think that's a big piece of bethlehem's culture as well big piece of bethlehem's culture as well big piece of bethlehem's culture as well um like Pastor Jason is still a learner um like Pastor Jason is still a learner um like Pastor Jason is still a learner our executive pastor Matt Palin they are our executive pastor Matt Palin they are our executive pastor Matt Palin they are still huge Learners um heading off to still huge Learners um heading off to still huge Learners um heading off to conferences and doing other things and conferences and doing other things and conferences and doing other things and we love to teach as well what we've we love to teach as well what we've we love to teach as well what we've learned along the way and that's one learned along the way and that's one learned along the way and that's one thing I love I've been able to have a thing I love I've been able to have a thing I love I've been able to have a handful of conversations with some handful of conversations with some handful of conversations with some Churches um just like I'm seeking this Churches um just like I'm seeking this Churches um just like I'm seeking this year to connect with churches that are year to connect with churches that are year to connect with churches that are at least a step ahead of us to learn at least a step ahead of us to learn at least a step ahead of us to learn from I've had the opportunity in turn to from I've had the opportunity in turn to from I've had the opportunity in turn to do that especially over the last year do that especially over the last year do that especially over the last year and that's one thing that's energized me and that's one thing that's energized me and that's one thing that's energized me I've enjoyed those I've enjoyed those I've enjoyed those conversations um conversations um conversations um and love doing that but yeah learner and love doing that but yeah learner and love doing that but yeah learner posture I think just serves you so well posture I think just serves you so well posture I think just serves you so well it does I get a lot of Joy from it I'm it does I get a lot of Joy from it I'm it does I get a lot of Joy from it I'm sure you do too yes yeah when we can sure you do too yes yeah when we can sure you do too yes yeah when we can help others that are a little bit behind help others that are a little bit behind help others that are a little bit behind us you know they're just different us you know they're just different us you know they're just different season and different size church that's season and different size church that's season and different size church that's such a blessing and when you when you're such a blessing and when you when you're such a blessing and when you when you're learning stuff from new people that's my learning stuff from new people that's my learning stuff from new people that's my joy I love to teach and and and coach joy I love to teach and and and coach joy I love to teach and and and coach and I I could do it all day long and

and I I could do it all day long and and I I could do it all day long and never get tired yes yeah yes what are never get tired yes yeah yes what are never get tired yes yeah yes what are the things that energize you I mean you the things that energize you I mean you the things that energize you I mean you kind of mentioned it like and you're kind of mentioned it like and you're kind of mentioned it like and you're you're taking your cues from your you're taking your cues from your you're taking your cues from your leadership from Jason down it's like we leadership from Jason down it's like we leadership from Jason down it's like we have a posture of learning and coaching have a posture of learning and coaching have a posture of learning and coaching and it's just we never want to stop is and it's just we never want to stop is and it's just we never want to stop is that where do you get your joy uh I that where do you get your joy uh I that where do you get your joy uh I think some of the main things I enjoy think some of the main things I enjoy think some of the main things I enjoy about what I do um when I first stepped about what I do um when I first stepped about what I do um when I first stepped in what I was most excited about was in what I was most excited about was in what I was most excited about was that I get to work with every Ministry that I get to work with every Ministry that I get to work with every Ministry team um that made me really excited we team um that made me really excited we team um that made me really excited we have a very relational culture um matter have a very relational culture um matter have a very relational culture um matter of fact I'm in um speaking of humility of fact I'm in um speaking of humility of fact I'm in um speaking of humility Pastor Jason and pastor Matt pin sharing Pastor Jason and pastor Matt pin sharing Pastor Jason and pastor Matt pin sharing office right now as we work through our office right now as we work through our office right now as we work through our transition out and I'm in their office transition out and I'm in their office transition out and I'm in their office because if I stayed in my office people because if I stayed in my office people because if I stayed in my office people would just be walking right in having a would just be walking right in having a would just be walking right in having a conversation um so we we have a lot of conversation um so we we have a lot of conversation um so we we have a lot of fun we work hard and we play hard um but fun we work hard and we play hard um but fun we work hard and we play hard um but just getting to work and serve the other just getting to work and serve the other just getting to work and serve the other Ministries and recognizing that that is Ministries and recognizing that that is Ministries and recognizing that that is really what my role is is is serving the really what my role is is is serving the really what my role is is is serving the Ministries to be able to communicate the Ministries to be able to communicate the Ministries to be able to communicate the next steps to be able to help them get next steps to be able to help them get next steps to be able to help them get people engaged um I love the oneoff people engaged um I love the oneoff people engaged um I love the oneoff conversations I have in the lobbies with conversations I have in the lobbies with conversations I have in the lobbies with people um so you know in my role right people um so you know in my role right people um so you know in my role right now I'm not managing a volunteer team at now I'm not managing a volunteer team at now I'm not managing a volunteer team at this time but um just two weeks ago on a this time but um just two weeks ago on a this time but um just two weeks ago on a Sunday I was helping a lady who thought

Sunday I was helping a lady who thought Sunday I was helping a lady who thought her husband had left his Bible in her husband had left his Bible in her husband had left his Bible in service and so she was trying to hunt it service and so she was trying to hunt it service and so she was trying to hunt it down and she ends up telling me she had down and she ends up telling me she had down and she ends up telling me she had some church hurt they came from out of some church hurt they came from out of some church hurt they came from out of state moved to Georgia um have been state moved to Georgia um have been state moved to Georgia um have been tending Bethlehem love it and uh wanted tending Bethlehem love it and uh wanted tending Bethlehem love it and uh wanted to know about membership and Tau with to know about membership and Tau with to know about membership and Tau with her about that and then um serving and her about that and then um serving and her about that and then um serving and when we walked away like it was like when we walked away like it was like when we walked away like it was like just a burst of energy so that that's just a burst of energy so that that's just a burst of energy so that that's something that really fuels me I love something that really fuels me I love something that really fuels me I love those one-on-one things where I'm able those one-on-one things where I'm able those one-on-one things where I'm able to help somebody and get them answers to help somebody and get them answers to help somebody and get them answers and um get them connected in uh you know and um get them connected in uh you know and um get them connected in uh you know what pay doesn't matter workload doesn't what pay doesn't matter workload doesn't what pay doesn't matter workload doesn't matter when you have those kinds of matter when you have those kinds of matter when you have those kinds of moments but you have to work to get into moments but you have to work to get into moments but you have to work to get into those moments that's what that's what those moments that's what that's what those moments that's what that's what fills you up that's why we do the job fills you up that's why we do the job fills you up that's why we do the job and why we're involved is to see those and why we're involved is to see those and why we're involved is to see those happen that's right that's what uh we happen that's right that's what uh we happen that's right that's what uh we had a creative team meeting yesterday had a creative team meeting yesterday had a creative team meeting yesterday and one of our campus pastors uh really and one of our campus pastors uh really and one of our campus pastors uh really challenged everybody he's like I and I challenged everybody he's like I and I challenged everybody he's like I and I picked on him about it because we just picked on him about it because we just picked on him about it because we just have a lot of fun but he's like it have a lot of fun but he's like it have a lot of fun but he's like it doesn't matter what your role is within doesn't matter what your role is within doesn't matter what your role is within the organization if you are not the organization if you are not the organization if you are not connecting with with people when we are connecting with with people when we are connecting with with people when we are looking for a story to share if you looking for a story to share if you looking for a story to share if you don't have a story to put on the table don't have a story to put on the table don't have a story to put on the table you are not doing what you're supposed you are not doing what you're supposed you are not doing what you're supposed to do because we are all we can be to do because we are all we can be to do because we are all we can be consumed with our task but we are called consumed with our task but we are called consumed with our task but we are called to minister to people um and so I was to minister to people um and so I was to minister to people um and so I was like oh that is so good and I'm trying like oh that is so good and I'm trying like oh that is so good and I'm trying to think like how can I work on meeting

to think like how can I work on meeting to think like how can I work on meeting newer people um and just make sure I newer people um and just make sure I newer people um and just make sure I always have some stories of of things always have some stories of of things always have some stories of of things happening um throughout the congregation happening um throughout the congregation happening um throughout the congregation well you know and I've always said this well you know and I've always said this well you know and I've always said this I'm like if you're a growing church and I'm like if you're a growing church and I'm like if you're a growing church and and and I'm hearing that you're there's and and I'm hearing that you're there's and and I'm hearing that you're there's people saying yes to Jesus and there's people saying yes to Jesus and there's people saying yes to Jesus and there's baptisms that tells me God's in your baptisms that tells me God's in your baptisms that tells me God's in your church which tells me you've got an church which tells me you've got an church which tells me you've got an abundance of stories yes you're just not abundance of stories yes you're just not abundance of stories yes you're just not taking the time to go dig them up and taking the time to go dig them up and taking the time to go dig them up and and work with the staff to figure out and work with the staff to figure out and work with the staff to figure out who those people are because stories are who those people are because stories are who those people are because stories are are really what influence and help are really what influence and help are really what influence and help others who don't have who have the same others who don't have who have the same others who don't have who have the same situation different outcome they're situation different outcome they're situation different outcome they're looking for somebody they want to see looking for somebody they want to see looking for somebody they want to see the hope that somebody else has the hope that somebody else has the hope that somebody else has experience so they can have it in their experience so they can have it in their experience so they can have it in their own lives yes that's right and sometimes own lives yes that's right and sometimes own lives yes that's right and sometimes like we were talking about yesterday like we were talking about yesterday like we were talking about yesterday like it's okay if the story's not like it's okay if the story's not like it's okay if the story's not finished as well like there's a place finished as well like there's a place finished as well like there's a place for that and so um we were chatting for that and so um we were chatting for that and so um we were chatting about our discipleship team obviously is about our discipleship team obviously is about our discipleship team obviously is ultra plugged in with people through ultra plugged in with people through ultra plugged in with people through groups group leaders groups group leaders groups group leaders like that's our source a lot of time for like that's our source a lot of time for like that's our source a lot of time for stories you just go ask one of them and stories you just go ask one of them and stories you just go ask one of them and they'll they'll tell you but it really they'll they'll tell you but it really they'll they'll tell you but it really it falls on all of us we should all be it falls on all of us we should all be it falls on all of us we should all be spending time and engaging with people spending time and engaging with people spending time and engaging with people and doing life with people um and we all and doing life with people um and we all and doing life with people um and we all are in our own ways but it was just like are in our own ways but it was just like are in our own ways but it was just like make sure you know you don't get bogged make sure you know you don't get bogged make sure you know you don't get bogged down at your desk and you you know don't down at your desk and you you know don't down at your desk and you you know don't make it a across the campus to hang in make it a across the campus to hang in make it a across the campus to hang in the lobby you're unplugged and you know
