very intentional campus ministry very intentional campus ministry throughout Middle School Junior High throughout Middle School Junior High throughout Middle School Junior High High School uh just a really cool story High School uh just a really cool story High School uh just a really cool story like how God showed up and people came like how God showed up and people came like how God showed up and people came to know Jesus and I just started to to know Jesus and I just started to to know Jesus and I just started to think like I would love to be in think like I would love to be in think like I would love to be in Ministry and I never thought it could Ministry and I never thought it could Ministry and I never thought it could look the way that I was like trajectory look the way that I was like trajectory look the way that I was like trajectory in that space in my life um graduated in that space in my life um graduated in that space in my life um graduated high school really wanted to go into high school really wanted to go into high school really wanted to go into Ministry and got involved with Youth for Ministry and got involved with Youth for Ministry and got involved with Youth for Christ was involved in my church I am Christ was involved in my church I am Christ was involved in my church I am like Northern Minnesota at this point in like Northern Minnesota at this point in like Northern Minnesota at this point in my life and um God was just at work and my life and um God was just at work and my life and um God was just at work and I just continued to feel like Spirit I just continued to feel like Spirit I just continued to feel like Spirit leading me into Ministry uh in that leading me into Ministry uh in that leading me into Ministry uh in that majored in majored in majored in Communications um but everybody's path Communications um but everybody's path Communications um but everybody's path takes a little bit of a different turn takes a little bit of a different turn takes a little bit of a different turn here and there it's not straight um here and there it's not straight um here and there it's not straight um graduated college and moved to the graduated college and moved to the graduated college and moved to the Minneapolis area which is just a couple Minneapolis area which is just a couple Minneapolis area which is just a couple hours south for me uh got involved in a hours south for me uh got involved in a hours south for me uh got involved in a church actually that's where I first church actually that's where I first church actually that's where I first started going to Eaglebrook got involved started going to Eaglebrook got involved started going to Eaglebrook got involved started uh with student Ministries started uh with student Ministries started uh with student Ministries because I that's what I knew I had been because I that's what I knew I had been because I that's what I knew I had been involved in student Ministries for many involved in student Ministries for many involved in student Ministries for many years um just as a volunteer though years um just as a volunteer though years um just as a volunteer though involved with small groups and then one involved with small groups and then one involved with small groups and then one day I mean I was doing I should say I day I mean I was doing I should say I day I mean I was doing I should say I should back up and say like I was in should back up and say like I was in should back up and say like I was in like the operations HR accounting World like the operations HR accounting World like the operations HR accounting World um my dad actually was an accounting um my dad actually was an accounting um my dad actually was an accounting teacher in high school and so like that teacher in high school and so like that teacher in high school and so like that kind of thing came very natural to me kind of thing came very natural to me kind of thing came very natural to me though I do vividly remember one morning though I do vividly remember one morning though I do vividly remember one morning waking up and I'm like is this what the waking up and I'm like is this what the waking up and I'm like is this what the next 40 years look like next 40 years look like next 40 years look like like and it was just like this Vivid

like and it was just like this Vivid like and it was just like this Vivid moment of like I don't think I could do moment of like I don't think I could do moment of like I don't think I could do this um what did you what what did you this um what did you what what did you this um what did you what what did you study in college what what did you major study in college what what did you major study in college what what did you major in Communications and Social Psychology in Communications and Social Psychology in Communications and Social Psychology so me wanted to be a therapist and part so me wanted to be a therapist and part so me wanted to be a therapist and part of me wanted to just like travel and of me wanted to just like travel and of me wanted to just like travel and speak to people honestly um but here we speak to people honestly um but here we speak to people honestly um but here we are at HR and operations and accounting are at HR and operations and accounting are at HR and operations and accounting doing some other things for a paint doing some other things for a paint doing some other things for a paint contractor which I loved it was a really contractor which I loved it was a really contractor which I loved it was a really great great great experience um but then one day I was experience um but then one day I was experience um but then one day I was shoulder tapped at church and um the one shoulder tapped at church and um the one shoulder tapped at church and um the one of the leaders of the time was like hey of the leaders of the time was like hey of the leaders of the time was like hey we we're opening our very first mobile we we're opening our very first mobile we we're opening our very first mobile location in in a high school we've never location in in a high school we've never location in in a high school we've never done this before and we think it'd be a done this before and we think it'd be a done this before and we think it'd be a great fit and like no way no way I've great fit and like no way no way I've great fit and like no way no way I've written off like Ministry like I just written off like Ministry like I just written off like Ministry like I just don't think that's going to be like the don't think that's going to be like the don't think that's going to be like the path for me but uh between my husband path for me but uh between my husband path for me but uh between my husband and also the Holy Spirit was like you and also the Holy Spirit was like you and also the Holy Spirit was like you know just apply let's just see what know just apply let's just see what know just apply let's just see what happens apply take the first step and happens apply take the first step and happens apply take the first step and then it was like okay just do the then it was like okay just do the then it was like okay just do the interview okay it was just like one interview okay it was just like one interview okay it was just like one thing after another and I joined our thing after another and I joined our thing after another and I joined our staff um just over 14 years ago coming staff um just over 14 years ago coming staff um just over 14 years ago coming into as a pastor of serving in small into as a pastor of serving in small into as a pastor of serving in small groups for our very first mobile groups for our very first mobile groups for our very first mobile location in high school um so that's location in high school um so that's location in high school um so that's like really my launch into Eagle Brook like really my launch into Eagle Brook like really my launch into Eagle Brook and then over the course of the last 14 and then over the course of the last 14 and then over the course of the last 14 years I served as a um I I the role got years I served as a um I I the role got years I served as a um I I the role got split like you know sometimes it does um

split like you know sometimes it does um split like you know sometimes it does um I then took the pathway of serving uh I then took the pathway of serving uh I then took the pathway of serving uh Hospitality guest experience that way Hospitality guest experience that way Hospitality guest experience that way was a pastor about five six years at was a pastor about five six years at was a pastor about five six years at that location moved us into a permanent that location moved us into a permanent that location moved us into a permanent building and then just there a series of building and then just there a series of building and then just there a series of just like stirring and just um like just like stirring and just um like just like stirring and just um like learning about myself and some coaching learning about myself and some coaching learning about myself and some coaching that I was doing just learned actually that I was doing just learned actually that I was doing just learned actually love to be on the front end to help love to be on the front end to help love to be on the front end to help create and design and um problem solve create and design and um problem solve create and design and um problem solve and so I made a move from the campus and so I made a move from the campus and so I made a move from the campus into our Central team and joined our into our Central team and joined our into our Central team and joined our creative arts team as a project manager creative arts team as a project manager creative arts team as a project manager um did that for a bit but it was very um did that for a bit but it was very um did that for a bit but it was very short run before my then Supervisor was short run before my then Supervisor was short run before my then Supervisor was like you need to be on the like you need to be on the like you need to be on the communications team and it was like no communications team and it was like no communications team and it was like no I'm great I'm great just doing this and I'm great I'm great just doing this and I'm great I'm great just doing this and he's like no we're moving you over here he's like no we're moving you over here he's like no we're moving you over here and so I became communications director and so I became communications director and so I became communications director and then in covid we added in digital so and then in covid we added in digital so and then in covid we added in digital so um Communications and digital now so um Communications and digital now so um Communications and digital now so that's a little bit of my journey into that's a little bit of my journey into that's a little bit of my journey into Eagle brooken into Ministry so I've been Eagle brooken into Ministry so I've been Eagle brooken into Ministry so I've been doing this for about 14 years now okay doing this for about 14 years now okay doing this for about 14 years now okay that's cool and we we'll kind of double that's cool and we we'll kind of double that's cool and we we'll kind of double click a little bit later in our click a little bit later in our click a little bit later in our conversation about what that looks like conversation about what that looks like conversation about what that looks like between the communications and the between the communications and the between the communications and the digital side of things um give us uh digital side of things um give us uh digital side of things um give us uh some framework for uh Eaglebrook what some framework for uh Eaglebrook what some framework for uh Eaglebrook what does the church look like today um what does the church look like today um what does the church look like today um what are some of the things that are kind of are some of the things that are kind of are some of the things that are kind of key differentiators between Eaglebrook key differentiators between Eaglebrook key differentiators between Eaglebrook and maybe other churches in your and maybe other churches in your and maybe other churches in your community in your area yeah well community in your area yeah well community in your area yeah well um man it's a really great question kind

fall um lots of heavy we came out with a fall um lots of heavy we came out with a series called how happiness happens uh series called how happiness happens uh series called how happiness happens uh in and so one of the ideas we had as a in and so one of the ideas we had as a in and so one of the ideas we had as a team was let's um let's deliver happy team was let's um let's deliver happy team was let's um let's deliver happy bags happy happy bags to people and so bags happy happy bags to people and so bags happy happy bags to people and so what we included in them were like um what we included in them were like um what we included in them were like um kites bubbles I think there was kind of kites bubbles I think there was kind of kites bubbles I think there was kind of like a coffee um there was a coffee bag like a coffee um there was a coffee bag like a coffee um there was a coffee bag and then essentially like a family bag and then essentially like a family bag and then essentially like a family bag and so we essentially I don't even and so we essentially I don't even and so we essentially I don't even remember remember what the count was but remember remember what the count was but remember remember what the count was but we had all these bags stuffed and ready we had all these bags stuffed and ready we had all these bags stuffed and ready to go we delivered them to our campus to go we delivered them to our campus to go we delivered them to our campus teams which was you know I don't know teams which was you know I don't know teams which was you know I don't know how many campuses we had at the point at how many campuses we had at the point at how many campuses we had at the point at that time but a way to engage our campus that time but a way to engage our campus that time but a way to engage our campus and not just like our Central team but and not just like our Central team but and not just like our Central team but we said like hey you get x amount of we said like hey you get x amount of we said like hey you get x amount of bags just go deliver them to people and bags just go deliver them to people and bags just go deliver them to people and say like I see you you maybe not haven't say like I see you you maybe not haven't say like I see you you maybe not haven't returned but we're like we're glad returned but we're like we're glad returned but we're like we're glad you're still engaged with us and just you're still engaged with us and just you're still engaged with us and just show up at people's doorsteps and ring show up at people's doorsteps and ring show up at people's doorsteps and ring the doorbell leave the bag ring the the doorbell leave the bag ring the the doorbell leave the bag ring the doorbell have a conversation and we just doorbell have a conversation and we just doorbell have a conversation and we just dropped happy bags to people but then dropped happy bags to people but then dropped happy bags to people but then the rest of the like um the rest of the the rest of the like um the rest of the the rest of the like um the rest of the campaign essentially leading up into campaign essentially leading up into campaign essentially leading up into like our fall kickoff in September was like our fall kickoff in September was like our fall kickoff in September was that each week we were GNA have a little that each week we were GNA have a little that each week we were GNA have a little like nugget of a giveaway you know like nugget of a giveaway you know like nugget of a giveaway you know people love Chick-fil-A cookies we gave people love Chick-fil-A cookies we gave people love Chick-fil-A cookies we gave away Chick-fil-A cookies one week uh one away Chick-fil-A cookies one week uh one away Chick-fil-A cookies one week uh one week we had these t-shirts that were week we had these t-shirts that were week we had these t-shirts that were very uh colorful which I'd say is very uh colorful which I'd say is very uh colorful which I'd say is probably not like our favorite tone but probably not like our favorite tone but probably not like our favorite tone but it was a very colorful like t-shirts and it was a very colorful like t-shirts and it was a very colorful like t-shirts and people just got free t-shirts so what people just got free t-shirts so what people just got free t-shirts so what are we three years past that I am still are we three years past that I am still are we three years past that I am still seeing t-shirts every like baptism my

really did is I actually feel like The Branding was so actually feel like The Branding was so actually feel like The Branding was so light and fun and playful that it just light and fun and playful that it just light and fun and playful that it just elicited this like Joy I mean I am elicited this like Joy I mean I am elicited this like Joy I mean I am getting excited just like revisiting getting excited just like revisiting getting excited just like revisiting this campaign that we did of like this campaign that we did of like this campaign that we did of like empowering our campuses to deliver happy empowering our campuses to deliver happy empowering our campuses to deliver happy bags to people who maybe weren't even bags to people who maybe weren't even bags to people who maybe weren't even part of the church but just said like part of the church but just said like part of the church but just said like hey you're a neighbor and we know you've hey you're a neighbor and we know you've hey you're a neighbor and we know you've got kids and you maybe put up with us got kids and you maybe put up with us got kids and you maybe put up with us when we like do loud things outside but when we like do loud things outside but when we like do loud things outside but and all the traffic that comes around and all the traffic that comes around and all the traffic that comes around our locations but hey we see you just our locations but hey we see you just our locations but hey we see you just like thanks for for being you and anyway like thanks for for being you and anyway like thanks for for being you and anyway I was revisiting that actually with um a I was revisiting that actually with um a I was revisiting that actually with um a a campus yesterday when our neighborhood do you have any ideas and remember when we did have any ideas and remember when we did have any ideas and remember when we did these happy bags and she's like no I these happy bags
