you said about we're all growing and you said about we're all growing and learning because you know I think it's learning because you know I think it's learning because you know I think it's easy to say you should arrive somewhere easy to say you should arrive somewhere easy to say you should arrive somewhere and you should know what you're doing and you should know what you're doing and you should know what you're doing and I don't think a lot of days I don't and I don't think a lot of days I don't and I don't think a lot of days I don't feel like I know what I'm doing so I feel like I know what I'm doing so I feel like I know what I'm doing so I think we need to know we're on the think we need to know we're on the think we need to know we're on the journey you know and anything we do we journey you know and anything we do we journey you know and anything we do we need to hold Loosely and and be able to need to hold Loosely and and be able to need to hold Loosely and and be able to learn and grow so uh speaking of growing learn and grow so uh speaking of growing learn and grow so uh speaking of growing I grew up uh oldest of five and um we I grew up uh oldest of five and um we I grew up uh oldest of five and um we were all homeschooled no cable TV in the were all homeschooled no cable TV in the were all homeschooled no cable TV in the house so we we found different ways to house so we we found different ways to house so we we found different ways to be entertained and one of those ways was be entertained and one of those ways was be entertained and one of those ways was oldtime radio and I remember you know oldtime radio and I remember you know oldtime radio and I remember you know it's kind of unique but we got this it's kind of unique but we got this it's kind of unique but we got this cassette album if you remember cassette cassette album if you remember cassette cassette album if you remember cassette tapes and we got it and it was full of tapes and we got it and it was full of tapes and we got it and it was full of oldtime radio you know everything from oldtime radio you know everything from oldtime radio you know everything from Tales the Texas Rangers Jack Benny all Tales the Texas Rangers Jack Benny all Tales the Texas Rangers Jack Benny all this stuff and uh we just loved it and I this stuff and uh we just loved it and I this stuff and uh we just loved it and I remember listening to that at night remember listening to that at night remember listening to that at night going to sleep with my siblings and um going to sleep with my siblings and um going to sleep with my siblings and um you know Adventures in Odyssey was on you know Adventures in Odyssey was on you know Adventures in Odyssey was on the air back then on radio they're still the air back then on radio they're still the air back then on radio they're still making episodes my kids love it but um making episodes my kids love it but um making episodes my kids love it but um they were on air and I remember every they were on air and I remember every they were on air and I remember every night we didn't want to get out of the night we didn't want to get out of the night we didn't want to get out of the pool during the summer you know those pool during the summer you know those pool during the summer you know those long summer days and so we'd be out long summer days and so we'd be out long summer days and so we'd be out there and I'd run inside and record it there and I'd run inside and record it there and I'd run inside and record it off the radio so we could listen to it off the radio so we could listen to it off the radio so we could listen to it later you know recorded on cassette so later you know recorded on cassette so later you know recorded on cassette so even early on I remember just story was even early on I remember just story was even early on I remember just story was a big part of my growing up uh we loved a big part of my growing up uh we loved a big part of my growing up uh we loved movies and uh recorded those too off of movies and uh recorded those too off of movies and uh recorded those too off of TV you know there used to be the 24 TV you know there used to be the 24 TV you know there used to be the 24 Karat movie or whatever it was on on Karat movie or whatever it was on on Karat movie or whatever it was on on Saturday you could catch it and then Saturday you could catch it and then Saturday you could catch it and then record it so we grew up doing that kind record it so we grew up doing that kind record it so we grew up doing that kind of you know um taking those things that of you know um taking those things that of you know um taking those things that were available to us and and really were available to us and and really were available to us and and really enjoying them and that became part of

enjoying them and that became part of enjoying them and that became part of our story I think of loving production our story I think of loving production our story I think of loving production and what it means to communicate with and what it means to communicate with and what it means to communicate with people on a larger scale but I grew up people on a larger scale but I grew up people on a larger scale but I grew up at Belleview um which is where I'm at Belleview um which is where I'm at Belleview um which is where I'm serving now so let me let me let me ask serving now so let me let me let me ask serving now so let me let me let me ask you a question about that Larry before you a question about that Larry before you a question about that Larry before you go on because I know where're the you go on because I know where're the you go on because I know where're the conversation is headed I think but tell conversation is headed I think but tell conversation is headed I think but tell us a little bit about the church us a little bit about the church us a little bit about the church environment at bie at the time that you environment at bie at the time that you environment at bie at the time that you were growing up because I'm I'm were growing up because I'm I'm were growing up because I'm I'm venturing that it's probably very venturing that it's probably very venturing that it's probably very different today than what it was when different today than what it was when different today than what it was when you were growing up yeah so bie when I you were growing up yeah so bie when I you were growing up yeah so bie when I was growing up under Adrien Rogers a lot was growing up under Adrien Rogers a lot was growing up under Adrien Rogers a lot of you may have heard him uh he has an of you may have heard him uh he has an of you may have heard him uh he has an international still has an international international still has an international international still has an international TV Ministry um and it's one of those TV Ministry um and it's one of those TV Ministry um and it's one of those that even after he passed away they were that even after he passed away they were that even after he passed away they were able to keep going in a great way able to keep going in a great way able to keep going in a great way they're making an impact even today I they're making an impact even today I they're making an impact even today I grew up under his teaching and it was a grew up under his teaching and it was a grew up under his teaching and it was a big I mean when I was growing up in that big I mean when I was growing up in that big I mean when I was growing up in that time it was packout the sanctuary and I time it was packout the sanctuary and I time it was packout the sanctuary and I actually came to the church the year actually came to the church the year actually came to the church the year before we moved to our new campus in before we moved to our new campus in before we moved to our new campus in Cordova so we were which is right in the Cordova so we were which is right in the Cordova so we were which is right in the Memphis city limits we were Downtown Memphis city limits we were Downtown Memphis city limits we were Downtown Memphis before that time and so uh we Memphis before that time and so uh we Memphis before that time and so uh we moved East and enabled us to have a much moved East and enabled us to have a much moved East and enabled us to have a much bigger campus uh and space and all of bigger campus uh and space and all of bigger campus uh and space and all of that and that was under the time where that and that was under the time where that and that was under the time where literally they were packing out the literally they were packing out the literally they were packing out the Worship Center coming to hear Adrien Worship Center coming to hear Adrien Worship Center coming to hear Adrien Rogers and it was very centered around Rogers and it was very centered around Rogers and it was very centered around that kind of preaching and he was an that kind of preaching and he was an that kind of preaching and he was an incredible preacher and so um that was incredible preacher and so um that was incredible preacher and so um that was the the the style it was the mega church the the the style it was the mega church the the the style it was the mega church really the Heyday I think of the the really the Heyday I think of the the really the Heyday I think of the the mega church if you want to say it like mega church if you want to say it like mega church if you want to say it like that and it's interesting to me that you that and it's interesting to me that you that and it's interesting to me that you grew up in a home with no TV yet you grew up in a home with no TV yet you grew up in a home with no TV yet you grew up in a church that had a

to do with that just I don't know what to do with that just I don't know what to do with that I'm just highlighting that back in the I'm just highlighting that back in the I'm just highlighting that back in the conversation later on I think you're conversation later on I think you're conversation later on I think you're right you know you're right and bellevie right you know you're right and bellevie right you know you're right and bellevie was actually the first church to both was actually the first church to both was actually the first church to both own and operate their own TV equipment own and operate their own TV equipment own and operate their own TV equipment so back in the 50s that was The Cutting so back in the 50s that was The Cutting so back in the 50s that was The Cutting Edge to do that and bellie was the first Edge to do that and bellie was the first Edge to do that and bellie was the first to jump in to both own and operate so TV to jump in to both own and operate so TV to jump in to both own and operate so TV Ministry all of that was uh through the Ministry all of that was uh through the Ministry all of that was uh through the the culture and the Very fiber you know the culture and the Very fiber you know the culture and the Very fiber you know of what bellevie was and and really is of what bellevie was and and really is of what bellevie was and and really is in a lot of ways it's just looks in a lot of ways it's just looks in a lot of ways it's just looks different now so that's cool you just different now so that's cool you just different now so that's cool you just kind of reminded me something there kind of reminded me something there kind of reminded me something there Larry it's like you're just it doesn't Larry it's like you're just it doesn't Larry it's like you're just it doesn't matter you know where you are in your matter you know where you are in your matter you know where you are in your journey you you should always have a a journey you you should always have a a journey you you should always have a a posture of learning and you can use posture of learning and you can use posture of learning and you can use anything to learn that's right then anything to learn that's right then anything to learn that's right then apply that because God obviously clearly apply that because God obviously clearly apply that because God obviously clearly has influenced your life and and gotten has influenced your life and and gotten has influenced your life and and gotten you on this path I'm excited for our you on this Belleview was your family's home Church Belleview was your family's home Church pick up from there at College what what pick up from there at College what what pick up from there at College what what I started to get involved behind the I started to get involved behind the I started to get involved behind the scenes some as I got into later high scenes some as I got into later high scenes some as I got into later high school and getting to do some of the school and getting to do some of the school and getting to do some of the musicals that we would put on at musicals that we would put on at musicals that we would put on at Belleview and um and as I did that I Belleview and um and as I did that I Belleview and um and as I did that I started to feel like I really you know started to feel like I really you know started to feel like I really you know enjoyed it and got to be involved as a enjoyed it and got to be involved as a enjoyed it and got to be involved as a volunteer on our camera crew got to help volunteer on our camera crew got to help volunteer on our camera crew got to help with light and some other things and uh with light and some other things and uh with light and some other things and uh that led me to college and really to that led me to college and really to that led me to college and really to make the decision fast forwarding to make the decision fast forwarding to make the decision fast forwarding to that that I wanted to pursue that that I wanted to pursue that that I wanted to pursue Communications of some kind and I I was Communications of some kind and I I was Communications of some kind and I I was kind of thinking radio when I first went kind of thinking radio when I first went kind of thinking radio when I first went into it and as I got into it really into it and as I got into it really into it and as I got into it really gravitated towards film and video and so gravitated towards film and video and so gravitated towards film and video and so I emphasized in that but then took the I emphasized in that but then took the I emphasized in that but then took the broader communication curriculum and broader communication curriculum and broader communication curriculum and that was really the first time I had any that was really the first time I had any that was really the first time I had any formal what I would consider formal formal what I would consider formal formal what I would consider formal training and Communications or learning training and Communications or learning training and Communications or learning anything about it from a book um but it anything about it from a book um but it anything about it from a book um but it was it was pretty cool because it felt was it was pretty cool because it felt was it was pretty cool because it felt like those things that I had experienced like those things that I had experienced like those things that I had experienced um started to come along and really um started to come along and really um started to come along and really supplement what I was learning and even supplement what I was learning and even supplement what I was learning and even back it up and validate it in a way so back it up and validate it in a way so back it up and validate it in a way so um so yeah ended up getting a Bachelor um so yeah ended up getting a Bachelor um so yeah ended up getting a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Memphis of Arts from the University of Memphis of Arts from the University of Memphis in Communications and uh immediately in Communications and uh immediately in Communications and uh immediately spun right into I had met a guy who was spun right into I had met a guy who was spun right into I had met a guy who was over all production at Love Worth over all production at Love Worth over all production at Love Worth Finding Ministries which is Adrien Finding Ministries which is Adrien Finding Ministries which is Adrien Rogers TV Ministry separate from the Rogers TV Ministry separate from the Rogers TV Ministry separate from the church and um he called me and I got to church and um he called me and I got to church and um he called me and I got to go over there and start working pretty go over there and start working pretty go over there and start working pretty close to right away after graduation and close to right away after graduation and close to right away after graduation and I was the TV editor uh when I went and I was the TV editor uh when I went and I was the TV editor uh when I went and started working for them and uh so fast started working for them and uh so fast started working for them and uh so fast forward had the opportunity from there forward had the opportunity from there forward had the opportunity from there to have more influence get to be a part

to have more influence get to be a part to have more influence get to be a part of things and and then I I got the call of things and and then I I got the call of things and and then I I got the call from a guy over here at Belleview and he from a guy over here at Belleview and he from a guy over here at Belleview and he uh wanted to do some more with the TV uh wanted to do some more with the TV uh wanted to do some more with the TV broadcast and that was the initial entry broadcast and that was the initial entry broadcast and that was the initial entry for me into Belleview working on the for me into Belleview working on the for me into Belleview working on the staff side and so from there um I I you staff side and so from there um I I you staff side and so from there um I I you know had the opportunity I was over 11 know had the opportunity I was over 11 know had the opportunity I was over 11 years to be at Belleview and from TV years to be at Belleview and from TV years to be at Belleview and from TV Editor to them being able to produce Editor to them being able to produce Editor to them being able to produce things and direct things and having things and direct things and having things and direct things and having being able to have interaction across being able to have interaction across being able to have interaction across the team and uh left Belleview um with the team and uh left Belleview um with the team and uh left Belleview um with really a family and a Full Slate of really a family and a Full Slate of really a family and a Full Slate of really incredible opportunities i' had really incredible opportunities i' had really incredible opportunities i' had had and I felt the call to go work with had and I felt the call to go work with had and I felt the call to go work with Dave Ramsey and we did that for a couple Dave Ramsey and we did that for a couple Dave Ramsey and we did that for a couple of years um and spent time in Nashville of years um and spent time in Nashville of years um and spent time in Nashville with that uh which ultimately led to me with that uh which ultimately led to me with that uh which ultimately led to me really sensing the ministry calling and really sensing the ministry calling and really sensing the ministry calling and so from the point at which when I got so from the point at which when I got so from the point at which when I got into college I knew that I wanted to into college I knew that I wanted to into college I knew that I wanted to work on things that were important you work on things that were important you work on things that were important you know things that mattered that kind of know things that mattered that kind of know things that mattered that kind of thing but I really had not solidified a thing but I really had not solidified a thing but I really had not solidified a Ministry calling or felt God was calling Ministry calling or felt God was calling Ministry calling or felt God was calling me to full-time Ministry and through the me to full-time Ministry and through the me to full-time Ministry and through the time at Ramsey incredible time of growth time at Ramsey incredible time of growth time at Ramsey incredible time of growth and learning and understanding and learning and understanding and learning and understanding leadership getting to be a part of a leadership getting to be a part of a leadership getting to be a part of a great team one of the hardest decisions great team one of the hardest decisions great team one of the hardest decisions I made was to move the family back to I made was to move the family back to I made was to move the family back to Memphis but it was also one of the most Memphis but it was also one of the most Memphis but it was also one of the most freeing because we knew we were called freeing because we knew we were called freeing because we knew we were called to Ministry and so when we did that it to Ministry and so when we did that it to Ministry and so when we did that it was very much a we are surrendering to was very much a we are surrendering to was very much a we are surrendering to Ministry calling and that's what leted Ministry calling and that's what leted Ministry calling and that's what leted us back to us back to us back to Belleview so cool story yeah and and it

of them on the calendar so I meet half of them on the calendar so I meet half of them one week half the next week that kind of one week half the next week that kind of one week half the next week that kind of thing obviously the doors's always open thing obviously the doors's always open thing obviously the doors's always open but this is a time for specific sit down but this is a time for specific sit down but this is a time for specific sit down talk through the agenda and we have an talk through the agenda and we have an talk through the agenda and we have an agenda that we walk through that we both agenda that we walk through that we both agenda that we walk through that we both share I expect that to be something that share I expect that to be something that share I expect that to be something that they're bringing just as much to that they're bringing just as much to that they're bringing just as much to that meeting as I'm bringing so it's not a meeting as I'm bringing so it's happening in isolation on social media that's not happening on the social media that's not happening on the social media that's not happening on the website Etc um we also have I also have website Etc um we also have I also have website Etc um we also have I also have a great group of leaders like I a great group of leaders like I a great group of leaders like I mentioned who are making sure that's

worship planning for the next Sunday that's where the music team and Sunday that's where the music team and Sunday that's where the music team and pastor and all of them will jump on a pastor and all of them will jump on a pastor and all of them will jump on a call we'll talk through the service and call we'll talk through the service and call we'll talk through the service and that's just real tactical we'll talk that's just real tactical we'll talk that's just real tactical we'll talk about everything we have in Planning about everything we have in Planning about everything we have in Planning Center for the service and how it's Center for the service and how it's Center for the service and how it's going to flow what materials we have out going to flow what materials we have out do that wherever so they may not be a do that wherever so they may not be a you for long but they'll be here for our you for long but they'll be here for our you for long but they'll be here for our internship so even seeing those come internship so even seeing those come internship so even seeing those come through and our volunteers really seeing through and our volunteers really seeing through and our volunteers really seeing new people um who have never done this new people um who have never done this new people um who have never done this before and didn't know they had it in before and didn't know they had it in before and didn't know they had it in them to be able to see them living out them to be able to see them living out them to be able to see them living out their calling and being empowered to do their calling and being empowered to do their calling and being empowered to do what they're doing now for the Lord what they're doing now for the Lord what they're doing now for the Lord through the church and so I think that's through the church and so I think that's through the church and so I think that's really what gets me excited you know really what gets me excited you know really what gets me excited you know another thing is probably just big another thing is probably just big another thing is probably just big projects that involve a lot of projects that involve a lot of projects that involve a lot of disciplines across the team so when we disciplines across the team so when we disciplines across the team so when we get to do something big like focused get to do something big like focused get to do something big like focused where we're all on the same project and where we're all on the same project and where we're all on the same project and that doesn't happen often because you're that doesn't happen often because you're that doesn't happen often because you're moving so fast but you know for Easter moving so fast but you know for Easter moving so fast but you know for Easter or Christmas or some some of those or Christmas or some some of those or Christmas or some some of those things we've done being able to jump on things we've done being able to jump on things we've done being able to jump on with a with a whole group and do it with a with a whole group and do it with a with a whole group and do it together is really encouraging that's together is really encouraging that's together is really encouraging that's really because I think uh you know really because I think uh you know really because I think uh you know obviously the ultimate goal is one more obviously the ultimate goal is one more obviously the ultimate goal is one more person gives her life to Jesus and gets person gives her life to Jesus and gets person gives her life to Jesus and gets baptized so like that's so cool but it's baptized so like that's so cool but it's baptized so like that's so cool but it's like all that stuff leading up that like all that stuff leading up that like all that stuff leading up that that's the stuff that you're mention it that's the stuff that you're mention it that's the stuff that you're mention it can bring you lots of Joy even though can bring you lots of Joy even though can bring you lots of Joy even though that's like the ultimate Joy there's that's like the ultimate Joy there's that's like the ultimate Joy there's these things in your life that if you're these things in your life that if you're these things in your life that if you're not not not focused on in celebrating that you can focused on in celebrating that you can focused on in celebrating that you can get burned out real quick that's right get burned out real quick that's right get burned out real quick that's right and and lose track and now you're you're and and lose track and now you're you're and and lose track and now you're you're going against the grain here a little going against the grain here a little going against the grain here a little bit and so for you to say that it's cool bit and so for you to say that it's cool bit and so for you to say that it's cool for you to see others rise up or for you to see others rise up or for you to see others rise up or volunteers because then they get to see volunteers because then they get to see volunteers because then they get to see the fulfilling that happens when you're the fulfilling that happens when you're the fulfilling that happens when you're serving and you're you're a servant serving and you're you're a servant serving and you're you're a servant leader at that that point I think that's leader at that that point I think that's leader at that that point I think that's a great that's the best posture to have a great that's the best posture to have a great that's the best posture to have you know inside yeah you're right and you know inside yeah you're right and you know inside yeah you're right and and I do think that other piece to that

that is happening because of the work that is happening because of the work that is happening because of the work that we're doing behind the scenes and that we're doing behind the scenes and that we're doing behind the scenes and so sometimes you just have to get out of so sometimes you just have to get out of so sometimes you just have to get out of your office and your area and go serve your office and your area and go serve your office and your area and go serve somewhere else so that you can see somewhere else so that you can see somewhere else so that you can see people who are really responding in that people who are really responding in that people who are really responding in that moment to what they're learning lives moment to what they're learning lives moment to what they're learning lives being transformed life change happening being transformed life change happening being transformed life change happening because it's happening it's easy for us because it's happening
