morning I was emailing with the church morning I was emailing with the church leader who was saying are you serious leader who was saying are you serious leader who was saying are you serious about this invite card saying how big of about this invite card saying how big of about this invite card saying how big of a deal is that and I was like dude it's a deal is that and I was like dude it's a deal is that and I was like dude it's a big deal like do not you know and can a big deal like do not you know and can a big deal like do not you know and can say he was pushing back on some stuff say he was pushing back on some stuff say he was pushing back on some stuff I've written that on seminary and I'm I've written that on seminary and I'm I've written that on seminary and I'm like listen I could line up church after like listen I could line up church after like listen I could line up church after church who says the exact same thing church who says the exact same thing church who says the exact same thing that you said hey we've got to you know that you said hey we've got to you know that you said hey we've got to you know get those in people's hands y know being get those in people's hands y know being get those in people's hands y know being a you know fast-growing church a you know fast-growing church a you know fast-growing church developing leaders is a significant you developing leaders is a significant you developing leaders is a significant you know issue it's you know something you know issue it's you know something you know issue it's you know something you really there's never an end to you need really there's never an end to you need really there's never an end to you need to consistently find new leaders what to consistently find new leaders what to consistently find new leaders what have you done you know it's such an such have you done you know it's such an such have you done you know it's such an such a rapid pace how have you you know grown a rapid pace how have you you know grown a rapid pace how have you you know grown leaders so quickly that's been able to leaders so quickly that's been able to leaders so quickly that's been able to the growth that you've seen as a new the growth that you've seen as a new the growth that you've seen as a new church man I think we still that's still church man I think we still that's still church man I think we still that's still a challenge for us what we noticed is as a challenge for us what we noticed is as a challenge for us what we noticed is as the church grows and it does I mean the church grows and it does I mean the church grows and it does I mean there's only a certain capacity that a there's only a certain capacity that a there's only a certain capacity that a certain level of leaders can do if you certain level of leaders can do if you certain level of leaders can do if you really want to multiply your church I really want to multiply your church I really want to multiply your church I think up to a point is addition if think up to a point is addition if think up to a point is addition if you're talking about followers you'll you're talking about followers you'll you're talking about followers you'll grow some but if you really want to grow some but if you really want to grow some but if you really want to multiply the church you have to grow multiply the church you have to grow multiply the church you have to grow leaders I mean they are the pillars of leaders I mean they are the pillars of leaders I mean they are the pillars of the church so the more pillars you have the church so the more pillars you have the church so the more pillars you have of the bigger it grows it's just that of the bigger it grows it's just that of the bigger it grows it's just that simple and so for us it's really been simple and so for us it's really been simple and so for us it's really been identifying leaders you know as they identifying leaders you know as they identifying leaders you know as they come in at volunteers or want to serve come in at volunteers or want to serve come in at volunteers or want to serve or buy into the visions and and and or buy into the visions and and and or buy into the visions and and and giving them an outlet to really figure giving them an outlet to really figure giving them an outlet to really figure out like what is their gift that's a lot out like what is their gift that's a lot out like what is their gift that's a lot of people we have a lot of unchurched of people we have a lot of unchurched of people we have a lot of unchurched people so lucky that come they don't people so lucky that come they don't people so lucky that come they don't they don't know what God's called them

process with them in whatever through a process with them in whatever through a process with them in whatever it might be whether it be in youth or it might be whether it be in youth or it might be whether it be in youth or kids or whatever all of our pastors are kids or whatever all of our pastors are kids or whatever all of our pastors are you know we're constantly talking hey you know we're constantly talking hey you know we're constantly talking hey what do you think about this and and what do you think about this and and what do you think about this and and that's a big thing too because I think that's a big thing too because I think that's a big thing too because I think sometimes churches can get to sometimes churches can get to sometimes churches can get to departmentalized where they don't share departmentalized where they don't share departmentalized where they don't share information about leaders in fact they information about leaders in fact they information about leaders in fact they might even get competitive right they might even get competitive right they might even get competitive right they may pay to be that you know let alone may pay to be that you know let alone may pay to be that you know let alone not sharing it might be like I don't not sharing it might be like I don't not sharing it might be like I don't want to talk to other people about these want to talk to other people about these want to talk to other people about these leaders because I might need them leaders because I might need them leaders because I might need them something that's how are you doing that something that's how are you doing that something that's how are you doing that how are you sharing information so a lot how are you sharing information so a lot how are you sharing information so a lot of times we do that as the executive at of times we do that as the executive at of times we do that as the executive at this point I do manage all the staff so this point whether it be the youth pastor members whether it be the youth pastor members whether it be the youth pastor kids you know worship all of that and so kids you know worship all of that and so kids you know worship all of that and so when I talk to these people I'm asking when I talk to these people I'm asking when I talk to these people I'm asking about volunteers I'm asking about about volunteers I'm asking about about volunteers I'm asking about certain people you know what do you certain people you know what do you certain people you know what do you think about so-and-so how are they doing think about so-and-so how are they doing think about so-and-so how are they doing this that the other and a lot of times this that the other and a lot of times this that the other and a lot of times I'll get this information well you know I'll get this information well you know I'll get this information well you know they kind of feel lean towards youth or they kind of feel lean towards youth or they kind of feel lean towards youth or I don't know they've been talking about I don't know they've been talking about I don't know they've been talking about this I've been talking about that this I've been talking about that this I've been talking about that and sometimes I mean I'm just I'm just and sometimes I mean I'm just I'm just and sometimes I mean I'm just I'm just forward like to i'll have personal forward like to i'll have personal forward like to i'll have personal relations i'll call them and ask them relations i'll call them and ask them relations i'll call them and ask them myself like hey man I was just going and myself like hey man I was just going and myself like hey man I was just going and sometimes being that neutral person they sometimes being that neutral person they sometimes being that neutral person they feel like they can just tell me whatever feel like they can just tell me whatever feel like they can just tell me whatever they want to tell me and I usually try they want to tell me and I usually try they want to tell me and I usually try to make the right plugs or try to help

effective yeah that's cool why don't we effective yeah that's cool why don't we kind of pivot a little bit and talk kind of pivot a little bit and talk kind of pivot a little bit and talk about you guys are two locations you can about you guys are two locations you can about you guys are two locations you can so you've done the transition from one so you've done the transition from one so you've done the transition from one to two which is huge congratulations how to two which is huge congratulations how to two which is huge congratulations how that kind of leadership development that kind of leadership development that kind of leadership development impact that decision and then how you impact that decision and then how you impact that decision and then how you know how have you changed your approach know how have you changed your approach know how have you changed your approach what how you know how has it helped what how you know how has it helped what how you know how has it helped going multi-site how all of that what going multi-site how all of that what going multi-site how all of that what does that look like yeah multi-site is a does that look like yeah multi-site is a does that look like yeah multi-site is a big one because what you start to big one because what you start to big one because what you start to realize is with multi-site you have the realize is with multi-site you have the realize is with multi-site you have the same church but you tend to have same church but you tend to have same church but you tend to have different cultures at different campuses different cultures at different campuses different cultures at different campuses and it all depends on demographics the and it all depends on demographics the and it all depends on demographics the area and all that kind of stuff and area and all that kind of stuff and area and all that kind of stuff and understanding that you have to have the understanding that you have to have the understanding that you have to have the culture there but it's okay to culture there but it's okay to culture there but it's okay to understand the differences between the understand the differences between the understand the differences between the areas north georgia campus is a lot areas north georgia campus is a lot areas north georgia campus is a lot different from our chat another campus different from our chat another campus different from our chat another campus but yet the vision is still the same and but yet the vision is still the same and but yet the vision is still the same and so I think the hardest part for us was so I think the hardest part for us was so I think the hardest part for us was really being okay with that and saying really being okay with that and saying really being okay with that and saying you know it's it's like having children you know it's it's like having children you know it's it's like having children they all have different personalities they all have different personalities they all have different personalities and but there's still our children you and but there's still our children you and but there's still our children you know what I mean and so building know what I mean and so building know what I mean and so building leadership has I know in our North leadership has I know in our North leadership has I know in our North Georgia campus is I mean this the way Georgia campus is I mean this the way Georgia campus is I mean this the way they do things is I mean they're just they do things is I mean they're just they do things is I mean they're just there is a smaller town it's in North there is a smaller town it's in North there is a smaller town it's in North Georgia smaller town and people are just Georgia smaller town and people are just Georgia smaller town and people are just like it's just different you know it's like it's just different you know it's like it's just different you know it's just people before everybody knows each just people before everybody knows each just people before everybody knows each other I mean it's like a big family other I mean it's like a big family other I mean it's like a big family thing and an hour Chattanooga campus thing and an hour Chattanooga campus thing and an hour Chattanooga campus it's more like a lot more like you know

it's more like a lot more like you know it's more like a lot more like you know mainstream everybody comes and goes you mainstream everybody comes and goes you mainstream everybody comes and goes you know that kind of feel to it so really know that kind of feel to it so really know that kind of feel to it so really what we like to do really is draw from what we like to do really is draw from what we like to do really is draw from that particular area you know those that particular area you know those that particular area you know those features because there's just more of a features because there's just more of a features because there's just more of a connection there we tend to see that connection there we tend to see that connection there we tend to see that that it works better that way and in that it works better that way and in that it works better that way and in some cases pestle some cases pestle some cases pestle or was it doesn't matter because we're or was it doesn't matter because we're or was it doesn't matter because we're you know one church and people you know one church and people you know one church and people understand that concept but I think it's understand that concept but I think it's understand that concept but I think it's easier if you can if you can draw easier if you can if you can draw easier if you can if you can draw leaders from that area now we we've had leaders from that area now we we've had leaders from that area now we we've had had to shift leaders before in the had to shift leaders before in the had to shift leaders before in the beginning to get the culture there so beginning to get the culture there so beginning to get the culture there so getting the culture there is the biggest getting the culture there is the biggest getting the culture there is the biggest fight like it's hard because people fight like it's hard because people fight like it's hard because people don't understand what you're doing they don't understand what you're doing they don't understand what you're doing they don't they're just figuring it out and don't they're just figuring it out and don't they're just figuring it out and basically the way we were able to be basically the way we were able to be basically the way we were able to be successful there is that we basically successful there is that we basically successful there is that we basically treated it as a like we were launching treated it as a like we were launching treated it as a like we were launching for the first time they rightly right for the first time they rightly right for the first time they rightly right and what that was all great results yeah and what that was all great results yeah and what that was all great results yeah that's cool the thing again just that's cool the thing again just that's cool the thing again just highlighting for folks like listen to highlighting for folks like listen to highlighting for folks like listen to this is church has three years old and this is church has three years old and this is church has three years old and um you know I love what you said there um you know I love what you said there um you know I love what you said there to think a lot of church leaders to think a lot of church leaders to think a lot of church leaders overlook when you're launching a campus overlook when you're launching a campus overlook when you're launching a campus replicating the culture is so important replicating the culture is so important replicating the culture is so important and being strategic around it is so and being strategic around it is so and being strategic around it is so important and if a church that three important and if a church that three important and if a church that three years old is saying like hey you know it years old is saying like hey you know it years old is saying like hey you know it takes us a while to figure that one out takes us a while to figure that one out takes us a while to figure that one out to do that well imagine church has been to do that well imagine church has been to do that well imagine church has been around for 50 60 70 80 100 years you around for 50 60 70 80 100 years you around for 50 60 70 80 100 years you know and and obviously a part of what know and and obviously a part of what know and and obviously a part of what you know God's blessing is that you guys you know God's blessing is that you guys you know God's blessing is that you guys have our working strategically you know have our working strategically you know have our working strategically you know to do that for sure that's that's really

to do that for sure that's that's really to do that for sure that's that's really cool now when you think about leadership cool now when you think about leadership cool now when you think about leadership development and you think about kind of development and you think about kind of development and you think about kind of the age spectrum again kind of a the age spectrum again kind of a the age spectrum again kind of a different you know a little bit of a different you know a little bit of a different you know a little bit of a different question on are you would you different question on are you would you different question on are you would you say that kind of the leaders you're say that kind of the leaders you're say that kind of the leaders you're coming bringing up are you seeing them coming bringing up are you seeing them coming bringing up are you seeing them are they kind of similar age to you and are they kind of similar age to you and are they kind of similar age to you and your senior pastor or are they you know your senior pastor or are they you know your senior pastor or are they you know you're deliberately trying to raise up you're deliberately trying to raise up you're deliberately trying to raise up younger leaders what does that look like younger leaders what does that look like younger leaders what does that look like no we actually have a really diverse age no we actually have a really diverse age no we actually have a really diverse age group believe it or not most most of it group believe it or not most most of it group believe it or not most most of it yet are young leaders but we have older yet are young leaders but we have older yet are young leaders but we have older people that just just want to be a part people that just just want to be a part people that just just want to be a part of the culture and want to lead and of the culture and want to lead and of the culture and want to lead and that's refreshing to see because that's refreshing to see because that's refreshing to see because normally you know you would think you normally you know you would think you normally you know you would think you would get a bunch of young leaders and would get a bunch of young leaders and would get a bunch of young leaders and but just to get older people and have but just to get older people and have but just to get older people and have that experience just life experience and that experience just life experience and that experience just life experience and and and where they're like you know what and and where they're like you know what and and where they're like you know what are even we get information from which are even we get information from which are even we get information from which is great we get a lot of ideas from the is great we get a lot of ideas from the is great we get a lot of ideas from the elders in our church as far as you know elders in our church as far as you know elders in our church as far as you know the broader things because we're all the broader things because we're all the broader things because we're all doing it for the first time so right doing it for the first time so right doing it for the first time so right like we got everybody like we're all like we got everybody like we're all like we got everybody like we're all making it up here for sure yeah and yeah making it up here for sure yeah and yeah making it up here for sure yeah and yeah it's been it's been really refreshing to it's been it's been really refreshing to it's been it's been really refreshing to see that and and we we put no age with see that and and we we put no age with see that and and we we put no age with limit on it either so right that's very limit on it either so right that's very limit on it either so right that's very cool it's really i'd like to share cool it's really i'd like to share cool it's really i'd like to share before we move on with the rest of the before we move on with the rest of the before we move on with the rest of the episode no not really i think the episode no not really i think the episode no not really i think the biggest thing is as a reminder as biggest thing is as a reminder as biggest thing is as a reminder as leaders in the church i think is to leaders in the church i think is to leaders in the church i think is to always remember this you know followers always remember this you know followers always remember this you know followers look the leaders leaders don't look for
