this or what they're really looking for this or what they're really looking for as well and another use case that i as well and another use case that i as well and another use case that i won't really get into here but you can won't really get into here but you can won't really get into here but you can and i have seen using nokia tools to and i have seen using nokia tools to and i have seen using nokia tools to give like a really good working vp to give like a really good working vp to give like a really good working vp to like your product engineering team to like your product engineering team to like your product engineering team to kind of speed up development so this brings me to what the crux of so this brings me to what the crux of this talks is about which is how i am this talks is about which is how i am this talks is about which is how i am using nokia tools to build out this using nokia tools to build out this using nokia tools to build out this community wiki within microsoft connect community wiki within microsoft connect community wiki within microsoft connect um and one of the kind of the whole um and one of the kind of the whole um and one of the kind of the whole origin story behind this is it really is origin story behind this is it really is origin story behind this is it really is trying to solve three key point key trying to solve three key point key trying to solve three key point key point key pain points within the point key pain points within the point key pain points within the community community community one if you're in slack you kind of know one if you're in slack you kind of know one if you're in slack you kind of know that it can be kind of hard to search that it can be kind of hard to search that it can be kind of hard to search for content in slack their search for content in slack their search for content in slack their search functionality leaves a lot to be desired functionality leaves a lot to be desired functionality leaves a lot to be desired in addition all content kind of in addition all content kind of in addition all content kind of disappears after 10 000 messages disappears after 10 000 messages disappears after 10 000 messages um so you know and the more activity um so you know and the more activity um so you know and the more activity there is in slack um especially when there is in slack um especially when there is in slack um especially when there are a couple thousand members in there are a couple thousand members in there are a couple thousand members in the community the faster that content the community the faster that content the community the faster that content goes away so this community wiki is goes away so this community wiki is goes away so this community wiki is really going to be designed really going to be designed really going to be designed um as a way to kind of be able to search um as a way to kind of be able to search um as a way to kind of be able to search kind of the best of evergreen content kind of the best of evergreen content kind of the best of evergreen content in one place that any community member in one place that any community member in one place that any community member can find so for the actual tech stack that is so for the actual tech stack that is being used for this wiki um it's being used for this wiki um it's being used for this wiki um it's sappier air table softer and a phantom sappier air table softer and a phantom sappier air table softer and a phantom buster and of course drip um and the buster and of course drip um and the buster and of course drip um and the crux of crux of crux of this tool is being built in air table this tool is being built in air table this tool is being built in air table and softer air table being the quote and softer air table being the quote and softer air table being the quote unquote backend database encode um and

unquote backend database encode um and unquote backend database encode um and software kind of being what any software kind of being what any software kind of being what any microsoft connect member is going to microsoft connect member is going to microsoft connect member is going to interact with on the front end um interact with on the front end um interact with on the front end um and zapier is actually kind of the glue and zapier is actually kind of the glue and zapier is actually kind of the glue and quote unquote the duct tape that and quote unquote the duct tape that and quote unquote the duct tape that kind of pulls everything together from kind of pulls everything together from kind of pulls everything together from all of the tools all of the tools all of the tools um side note i personally think zapier um side note i personally think zapier um side note i personally think zapier at some point in time should just at some point in time should just at some point in time should just should nickname themselves the duct tape should nickname themselves the duct tape should nickname themselves the duct tape of the internet because they kind of are of the internet because they kind of are of the internet because they kind of are that um and then i use a tool called that um and then i use a tool called that um and then i use a tool called phantom buster to pull in specific phantom buster to pull in specific phantom buster to pull in specific uh youtube videos it's really similar to uh youtube videos it's really similar to uh youtube videos it's really similar to if you were listening to andy's talk if you were listening to andy's talk if you were listening to andy's talk earlier um it has a lot of similar earlier um it has a lot of similar earlier um it has a lot of similar functionality to hexmatic functionality to hexmatic functionality to hexmatic um diving right in so diving right in so it can be really tempting to immediately it can be really tempting to immediately it can be really tempting to immediately go into go into go into all these nokia tools with an idea and all these nokia tools with an idea and all these nokia tools with an idea and just immediately start tinkering around just immediately start tinkering around just immediately start tinkering around and i would strongly strongly strongly and i would strongly strongly strongly and i would strongly strongly strongly recommend not doing that recommend not doing that recommend not doing that um in particular because um in particular because um in particular because um um um when you are trying to do that you're when you are trying to do that you're when you are trying to do that you're going to waste a lot of time and going to waste a lot of time and going to waste a lot of time and oftentimes you're not going to oftentimes you're not going to oftentimes you're not going to necessarily get the best results so what necessarily get the best results so what necessarily get the best results so what i've done and what i would recommend and i've done and what i would recommend and i've done and what i would recommend and you'll do is start from mockup this you'll do is start from mockup this you'll do is start from mockup this could be as could be as could be as low tech as low tech as low tech as sketching out what you want to what you sketching out what you want to what you sketching out what you want to what you want this feature request to be on a pen want this feature request to be on a pen want this feature request to be on a pen and paper um or in like a white board in and paper um or in like a white board in and paper um or in like a white board in your office or it could be using um your office or it could be using um your office or it could be using um tools tools tools um like a digital whiteboard tool or um like a digital whiteboard tool or um like a digital whiteboard tool or wireframing tool it can be as fancy or

useful um the one is like using linked useful um the one is like using linked records and lookup fields is basically records and lookup fields is basically records and lookup fields is basically what powers and formatted what powers and formatted what powers and formatted all of the data so that it's actually all of the data so that it's actually all of the data so that it's actually going to be so that it displays within going to be so that it displays within going to be so that it displays within the actual wiki in a way that's actually the actual wiki in a way that's actually the actual wiki in a way that's actually usable usable usable definitely recommend that um and the definitely recommend that um and the definitely recommend that um and the second one is air table automations second one is air table automations second one is air table automations which is basically there which is basically there which is basically there if you've used a zapier as well this is if you've used a zapier as well this is if you've used a zapier as well this is basically zapier with an air table so basically zapier with an air table so basically zapier with an air table so for example for example for example i used it to set up specific i used it to set up specific i used it to set up specific records that match a very specific records that match a very specific records that match a very specific condition like profile photos and then condition like profile photos and then condition like profile photos and then use that to be able to create additional use that to be able to create additional use that to be able to create additional records within different um records within different um records within different um views within the base and within views within the base and within views within the base and within different tables within a base so you different tables within a base so you different tables within a base so you can set up a lot of different things can set up a lot of different things can set up a lot of different things um with an air table to really structure um with an air table to really structure um with an air table to really structure the data that you're using in a way the data that you're using in a way the data that you're using in a way that's going to that's going to that's going to make the most sense for how you want make the most sense for how you want make the most sense for how you want people to interact with that content so that brings me to the front on front so that brings me to the front on front end code end code end code and air quotes um and this was all done and air quotes um and this was all done and air quotes um and this was all done within software so within software so within software so you can kind of so for example you know you can kind of so for example you know you can kind of so for example you know you could technically be like hey you could technically be like hey you could technically be like hey everything's in our table you can send everything's in our table you can send everything's in our table you can send that to anyone you want but there's many that to anyone you want but there's many that to anyone you want but there's many reasons why that's probably not going to reasons why that's probably not going to reasons why that's probably not going to be a great idea for one you have limited be a great idea for one you have limited be a great idea for one you have limited ability to get content ability to get content ability to get content um you can't give people different um you can't give people different um you can't give people different layers of access that easily layers of access that easily layers of access that easily um um um it's not really a great like it's a step it's not really a great like it's a step it's not really a great like it's a step above searching for something in slack above searching for something in slack above searching for something in slack but it's still not a great ui or you but it's still not a great ui or you but it's still not a great ui or you actually send somebody at
